Excellent functionality with plenty of power for my large media room. I love how easy Sony's are to use, and the price is nearly unbeatable.

Spent a lot of time looking for the appropriate receiver for our home theater room. This one had everything we needed an more. Plenty of HDMI inputs, including front panel inputs. Setup was easy. Hooked up the mic, ran the setup program and adjusted speakers accordingly. The multi zone system is perfect for including other areas of your home (inside or out) with proper setup. Be certain to go into settings and set the more detailed option to your own personal preference. The customization on this system is superb.

Does everything I expected - 3 zones, ARC support, doesn't run too hot. Using to run 13 in-ceiling speakers throughout the house. App support for control anywhere in the house. Overall a great value for the price.

This receiver does everything we were wanting. Some buttons are difficult to read as lettering doesn't contrast enough. Backlit buttons would be good. Took time to get used to zone selection, volume & channel.

I replaced my 12 year old Sony with this unit and it's much better, bluetooth, more power, modern hookups.....good choice.

I got this for my father as an early Christmas gift and he loves it! The sound is amazing and it's super easy to use!

Has many bells an whistles for the price. Multi zone capability, really good sound, and easy straight forward setup.

The receiver works better than our previous one. It turns on with bluetooth much better than the previous receiver.

I was very impressed with the sound quality. Replaced a Pioneer VSX-53, which had more features. Remote control is easy to use. The App stinks, my Pioneer App was much better. I have Apple products, so it works well with AirPlay. Does not have AM radio. The FM radio reception isn't great, the antenna it comes with is limited. Does not have direct internet radio, must use a device such as an iPad. Cannot use Pandora directly, must go through a device.

I wanted to upgrade without spending a fortune. Plus keep everyhing Sony 4K. This reciever fit the bill.

I have never been a SONY fan with their proprietary connections and over priced products, but this is an exception. This AV receiver is a powerful beast and you will not be disappointed. The GUI is very intuitive which makes it easy for adjustments. They have the network interface thought out too. There is an actual web page for your AV receiver that helps making adjustments a breeze. The Watts per channel is hard to compete with for this price too.

the one i had was super old and i didn't want anything expensive but did the job, after lots of research this was a perfect fit for me and it was on sale (win for me)

I generally steer away from Sony products but I couldn't pass this one up on clearance. Has everything I need and the it sounds so much better than my Yamaha 7.1 receiver it replaced. I had to buy a remote from the 'zon because the store had lost it (also why it was marked down so much) but it is a great AVR. Buy this years model the STR DN1080 if ATMOS is your thing, or find this one on closeout and be happy.

Impressive sound and very easy to set up. Hadn't looked at Sony in awhile but glad I did.

Only had receiver for a short while, but I am very happy with features and sound quality.

I am hearing impaired and purchased this equipment after being told that I could use stereo headphones with it, which was true. However, I learned that I did not need this in order to use the headphones that they simply just plugged into the back of the television (they were Bluetooth capable). Therefore the sales person sold me something that I didn't need to have so for the price, I returned it.

Replaced Sony 720 because receiver quit working . Unit was easy to set up . Great sound .

Easy and quick setup. Great sound. Fabulous integration with the rest of my components.
