This is an easy to use receiver that sounds great.

This is my first piece of Sony gear in awhile. Got it cheap on open box because I wanted two hdmi outs for a projector setup that also had a tv. Works well, good on screen menus and AirPlay and Bluetooth.

This receiver does everything I need. I use all of its features. I have OTA coming through my computer (my DVR) and it gives me all the adjustments to enjoy life without Sat/Cable. BT headphones at night, too!

Receiver had all the inputs I needed for all components and video sources. Sound field adjustments were easy to use and the sound was phenomenal, especially for movies. Highly recommend this receiver.

Amazing receiver. I would recommend only if you can figure things out without a manual. That being said, support is horrible.. It did not come with a manual.. Just a quick start guide and a few other non-helpful things. It took a long time for me to figure out which app to get so i can control it from my phone and I STILL don't know how to access media on my server through the network feature... why? because there is NO DOCUMENTATION!!! Massive fail Sony.. how hard is it to include a piece of paper that says go here to download xxx and go here for the manual.. All that being said its a wonderfully engineered amp.. and once somebody writes a manual for it I will change my review to 5 stars.

I ended up returning this for the cheaper Sony 770 model. Otherwise it is a very good reciever with tons of options.

This unit was easy to setup for my home theater system. Sound quality is outstanding and surpassed expectations as it was replacing an Onkyo unit that came with my Bose speaker package. Great buy!

This product works superbly. Perfect for anyone who has a 4K TV...in fact an absolute must! You won't get the full impact of 4K unless you have a receiver that is 4K compliant. Very satisfied!

Sound is really good for both music and movies. I use airplay for my music and it sound great on my kefs than my previous receiver. Alot of options to choose from base on what sound you like.

This was a gift for my brother. He is thrilled with this receiver. It powers his surround sound, lets him switch between his PS3 and PS4, and connect up his computer. Great gift and great buy.

This receiver delivers exactly what I wanted. It provides excellent quality in sound and has all the latest compatibility making it easy to sync or connect to your other electronics.

Using the "Pure Direct" mode, The volume can be turned up with no distortion on my Sony SSCS3 floor Stand speakers and Sony 10" sub woofer. I use lossless or remastered 256 music

Fits the needs of being capable of processing 4K video from multiple sources. Plenty of inputs and outputs. Plus it put's out sound like I thoroughly enjoy, booming and clear!

Hi I love this receiver It replaced an older Sony that had video issues. The new receiver is flawless. Only wish is that it had 3 videos out like the old one did. Overall GREAT!

This amplifier is great for people who love their music and love good surround sound for everything. Sport games, video games, movies, music and anything else you could use it for.

I have been very pleased with the receiver with the exception of setting up the proper input device for Zone 2. Zone 2 would not accept the signal feed from the BD/DVD player.

I ended up returning the unit, not because it wasn't a good one I just decided to go with a higher-end Sony model. I'm just giving this review to get the bonus points.

Back in October I began to look into a replacement for my previous Sony AV receiver which has now found a new home in my RV. Having researched my options I will say that I am quite pleased with this unit so far. The only issue I have had has been with documentation, there is room for improvement there. More important than my being pleased with this product is my pleasure with the support I received from Best Buy during the purchasing process. The service Best Buy provided this purchase was exemplary and deserves a rating well beyond 5 stars. Sony is fortunate to have such a customer dedicated partner.

To be honest if I didn't have a Sony tv I prob would have bought a different brand. I am glad I tried it though. I really does sound good and works excellent with my tv.

Amazing power and features. ARC compatible with other components. It comes with no user manual. Setup is through a TV screen, which is ok but I like the manuals myself.
