The only thing I would like to change is the remote, but that is a little more subjective. I really like the ability to rename all the inputs, but that also makes it a little more difficult to fund the input you are looking for via the remote.

Bought this to replace my Onkyo receiver which started giving me problems due to its age and I am very pleased. Great sound quality, love that it replicate sound from different venues/environments, and has all the connectivity you need.

I really like the Receiver, It has tons of power and more that enough connection options. It also is very intuitive to use. The only downside is that the receiver is dependent on a tv to display most of it's menus and options.

We are in the process of building a house and i can not wait to hook it up. I will be running my living room tv and outside tv off of this. Has all the features i was looking for and I got it for a great price on sale!!

We recently built a patio and wanted outdoor music. We bought this receiver since it had a 2nd zone so we could watch TV or movie inside and still play music outside. The WiFi is a great feature. It also has tune in radio and Pandora.

Read the reviews and was skeptical but once I got it home and hooked up my speakers came to life. I replaced an older Denon unit and was amazed how richer the sound was. The highes are brighter and the lows are deeper than ever.

This product was very easy to configure and setup. You basically plug in the desired components, run Auto Tune, and then you are up and running. The Settings UI is much better than some of the other receivers on the market.

Hard for a none tech. person to set up home button on remote stopped working after two days Sony had terrible tech. support I have worked through these issues and now I'm loving it more every day

Bought this as an open box without remote. No complaints as it functions like new. Running Aperion speakers. I think the menus are a little confusing but after the learning curve it's ok.

Very easy set up. Good quality sound. Plenty of inputs. Have had it about a month and so far very pleased with it.

This receiver works great. Easy on screen set up. Zone 2 works great and does not give off anywhere near the heat of my previous Onkyo receiver. Bluetooth works great with my iPhone. You don't even have to turn on the receiver to operate from iPhone. Go to setting, Bluetooth, find receiver and hit connect and the phone turns on receiver and your ready to play your music.

So I've had this now for 3 weeks, and use it mostly for TV / gaming / movies. No complaints on the sound - I have it hooked up to Energy Take Classic 5.1's and it's very clean and powerful, even on some music I sampled. My main complaint is with the controls, especially the remote: - I can access my music on PC via DLNA, but it hangs occasionally; turning the receiver off/on resolves it. Very frustrating. - the "display" button on the remote does nothing. I expected it to work like the "display" button on the receiver, to cycle through various settings. - the remote won't control my Sony BDPS5200 Blu-Ray player. It has transport controls like play and pause, but they do nothing. It's connected to my receiver via HDMI, and "Bravia Sync" and "HDMI control" are enabled on everything. My TV remote controls the DVD player fine. - turning on the receiver won't turn on my Sony KDL55W700B TV, unless I hit "movie". This would be OK if there was enough information on the receiver display to tune the radio or manage music, but those need the TV display to see them. CEC control is enabled - when I turn on the TV first, the receiver comes on. - The main reason I went with Sony was to be able to use Bravia sync and use one remote to control everything (as the marketing material promises) but that isn't happening. The most complete remote is the TV remote; even the Blu-ray player remote is more multitasking than this receiver's remote. We also have a Harmony but my family members didn't like it, so all-Sony seemed like a good solution. So now that I have to use the TV remote to control my system, my TV has to do the input switching too so all those component connections I paid extra for on this model are useless. The only thing hooked up to the receiver is the Blu-ray player. The sound on this receiver is really nice and I hate to knock two stars off for the control issues but at this price these things should be sorted out. Having to connect everything to my TV to control them defeats the purpose of all the component connections and extra audio processing this receiver has over it's cheaper siblings.

As always Sony comes through. They are never the best and never the cheapest, but you can never get more for your hard earned money. Another quality product as expected.

Wanted a receiver to watch uTube - that also allowed me to use my surround sound. This unit does it all!!

I use the receiver in the pool room. I use 7 speakers around my swimming pool. I am very happy with the sound and over all use of this receiver.

had to purchase this receiver inorder to get the 4k pass thru for the Samsung curved 4k tv. Sound is great powering bose speakers and powered sub. Setup was a breeze and getting connected to the internet as easy as well. great receiver for everything that you need for your home theater needs.

I give high marks for the receiver in almost every aspect but as with other Sony products the users manual leaves a lot to be desired and there is very limited information provided in the on screen menu. The owners manual is non-existent unless you go online and it is just a real hassle to try and find the information you need and I am not going to print out the 200 pages in order to create my own manual!

Although it is still a recent purchase, I have enjoyed all the additional features over my previous Sony that I had to upgrade from.

This was my second attempt at buying a new home receiver. The first one I got was a Denon and it was overly complicated. I could get some of the features to work but no matter how many times I went through the setup, I couldn't get everything working. For this receiver I needed one that would have 2 HDMI outputs, one for my tv and one for my projector. This does that great and easily. All my other components hook up into the receiver and function exactly as the should. Great receiver!

This is an upgrade to another Sony receiver from about 7 years ago. No complaints. Sound is great. Love the streaming features.
