Love it. Still learning about it after 6 weeks... 2. All of the connectivity on this unit is superb. I'm an old retired Analog A/V receiver guy and am amazed at having this Digital world opened up to me with this unit. Learning a lot-much more to learn. Was glad I had Geek squad hook me up initially. 3. One negative; I would have liked to have a more in-depth User Manual provided with the product, or maybe there is something Online already that I don't know about. I do prefer having something in writing also. Maybe there's an in-depth manual online somewhere I can print out, but I don't know about it at this time.

Nice product but not as easy to set up.

I compared it to other brands and this one was probably the best. Everything was great until I got to the set up. If you have a simple set up (speakers and receiver), then you are find. It will guide you. But if you want to set up the "second room" feature, it becomes more difficult. I have yet to figure it out. Gave up actually. The remote is also nice but it is not necessarily user friendly. I'm going to call Sony for technical support. For now, it'll do the trick.

Great Receiver with one fatal flaw

I had read other reviews warning of this issue, but I figured I would give it a shot. Within 2 weeks the HDMI Output was gone. I loved the sound quality and features. I bought the new version of this unit the STR-DN1060 and have had no problems at all.

Of course, they are only found on the programmable remotes (like my favorite, MX450). Unfortunately, Sony didn't specifically mention the Zone 2 outputs only analog input sources. Fortunately, the fix was found in an "Audio Extractor" device, allowing listening to HDMI sources- BluRay, etc..
