This tv is great if you want a 4K hdr. Could not beat the price and it is a Sony. Picture is amazing would have been a 5 Star if it had more apps.

ESPECIALLY WITH IT'S CENTRE BASE STAND THAT'S HIGHLY FLEXIBLE FOR TABLE MOUNTING ALSO WELL THOUGHT OUT TO ABSORB INERTIA MOVEMENT BACK AND FORTH WITHOUT TO MUCH ARC DEGREE DESTABILIZATION ON LIKE OTHER BRANDS THAT SPREADS BALANCE OVER LATERAL WIDE SECTION REQUIRING A LONG TABLE TO EQUAL LEG SUPPORT ! OR POORLY PLACEMENT WALL HANGING A,(POORLY AESTHETIC CHOICE)! This is actually a follow up to my original review a week ago. I just found some 4K shows in youtube and was mesmerized by the stunning colors and clarity of the picture. If you want to see the real 4K HDR capability of this TV, go to the built in youtube app, choose the 4K category, and select the travels or nature films. The TVs on display in the store is running a USB flash drive inserted in the back, and the file showing is 4K HDR, that is why you don’t see the same picture quality when you take the TV home. Your cable box is not, at this time, giving you shows that were filmed in 4K. Try it and you will have a surreal relaxing experience watching 4K nature films on this 70” Sony.

Great tv good deal great color huge tv good price!

I didn’t necessarily ‘need’ a new TV, but I had just purchased an Xbox One X and wanted to take advantage of the new 4K. This TV was a great price and for that price has an incredible picture. I first purchased the Vizio that was a bit cheaper, but brought it back and exchanged for this Sony. I’m so happy that I did!

The TV has great picture at a great value. The refresh rate could be a little better. It gets a little choppy once in awhile watching sports.

The first one had screen uniformity issues. It exhibited some "dirty screen effect", albeit just slightly, during bright scenes. Worse, it had absolutely terrible "clouding" (or whatever it is called when patches of light bleeds through during dark scenes). It wasn't easy returning the first TV, but it was absolutely worth the trouble. The replacement set is much better. Exact same model, same 70-inch size. Better bright scenes, better dark scenes. Much better screen uniformity overall. There is, however, one issue that I'm still slightly concerned about. Both sets exhibited a glitch where I once witnessed the screen display everything in "pink" after turning it on. Like an old black and white TV show, only with predominantly pink shades instead of gray. Turning the TV off and then back on resolved the issue both times. From what I've read, this is most likely caused by an HDMI handshaking issue. So perhaps different cables, or a different cable box, might eliminate the problem. I don't really know. But I do somewhat blame the TV since my previous TV never had this problem. Other stuff... Cable TV at 1080i looks fine for the most part. Some channels are clearer than others. Blame the inconsistent cable signal. With regards to motion both football and basketball games look just fine, in my opinion. But I'm used to a 60hz set and hate the 'soap opera effect' that many 120hz TVs use to smooth motion. So maybe others would disagree. The box the TV comes in claims it can do HDR, but from what I read elsewhere I suspect there's little if any benefit to the HDR option on this TV due to its lack of a wider color gamut and merely average brightness. As for sound quality, the built-in speakers can be used in a pinch as they're not quite as bad as I would've guessed. But they're not good, either. I'd suggest using a decent sound bar. Finally, the TV is a little bit thicker than many of the other sets out there. Not a deal breaker for me, but thought I'd mention it.

We have had this TV for about a month now and are very pleased with our purchase. We had Geek Squad mount it on our wall due to the size and we are extremely happy we did (highly recommended). The colors is crisp, bright, and the 4K is unreal. I really feel like I'm immersed in my viewing experience.

Went to Best Buy to browse around looking for a TV for our new home. Was initially set on a 65” LG model but later found out it lacked HDR and other features. Then the sales associate began searching for similar TV in my price range and this beauty of a 70” Sony TV came up. I was set. Bought it with a fixed wall mount and installed it myself within an hour. Awesome experience and the 4K HDR display is amazing. I don’t have any 4K capable devices yet but the built in YouTube App streams 4K videos without trouble! Awesome TV, can’t wait to get my Xbox One X or a 4K BluRay player to truly appreciate the beast of a display this TV is. Four stars only because the “bright room” aspect of this TV is it’s weak point. Turn off the lights and this TV’s vivid display shines!

Bought this during Black Friday as the price was very affordable. The picture quality is crystal clear, definitely 4K and easy to set up. The only improvement I would suggest is proving additional HDMI add RCA outputs for those with stereo receivers.

This TV was bought as an impulse and it was the best purchase. Picture quality is awesome and easy to set up. The only downside is the remote app for iPhone/Android does NOT work for this TV model, yet. But other that it’s a great TV for the price

The picture is outstanding. Has built-in apps and the remote even controls my Amazon Fire TV Box without setup. Very fast processor and the colors are vivid. Would definitely recommend.

This is my first Sony tv. I have had Samsung and LG in the past and this one replaces a Vizio. It has a great picture and I love the features. The HDR videos are stunning.

Went to Best Buy over Black Friday weekend to look at TV’s. This one stood out for its size and price. Got it as an open box item and in mint condition. Screen is beautiful with sharp, bright colors. We’ve watched movies, TV shows and sports in it and nothing short of an amazing TV. Got this to replace a 48’ plasma and that was definitely an upgrade.

I went in to purchase the 70 inch Vizio that was on sale. The store associate told me the pros and cons of the brand. He suggested that If I wanted a good quality and long lasting tv to consider the Sony. I checked the Sony out and it was also on sale. I purchased it and I love it. The clarity looks good. Was easy to setup and it didn’t take that long to program. My son has a ps4 and the games show up good as well.

I bought it to replace a 65 inch Samsung TV. After reviewing reviews in Amazon and Best Buy, I was a little hesitant to buy this model because there were several negatives concerning apps and and gaming viewing. However the Black Friday price was attractive and I usually watch only TV broadcast stations. The colors seem better than the Samsung- e.g., brighter reds and darker blacks. A minor inconvenience is that there does not appear to be a procedure to delete showing "hidden" stations when changing channels so only strong digital channels are shown.

Some TV's take so long to set up and are not user friendly, not this Sony, very easy to set up! the picture is so clear especially check out the nature shows that are 4K. Very Satisfied.

It's hard to find a 70" screen locally and with a multi-year warranty. It was very easy to hookup and start watching. The 4K is very crisp and the refresh rate is all I need.

Great tv especially with the sound bar. The frame rate refresh is not good for video games such as call of duty.
