I have this hooked up wit an ethernet cable to a fast router and internet ser ice.. Works great. I wanted great picture and sound in one 75" unit and I got it with the xbr75x940c. Other reviewers had me worried about manual, Sony help, and Android tv, but the reality is much better than they said. Yeah, the paper manual is 't much but there is a ton of online resource from Sony so you can find whatever you want about this tv. And the Android tv has a voice recognition search feature that's a hoot and understands what we ask for about 97% of the time. The tv picture is awesome and has lots of menu tweaks available to play with- most of which I went online to see what they do then played around with. Only owned it for about 2 weeks now & I'm definitely pleased. Looks great on the tv stand. i'll post again if anything happens you should know.

Most excellent Picture Quality, Deep Colors, Super bright & sharp..

Sony hit a home run with this tv. Where to start. 4K upscaling on this tv is amazing, especially for blu ray material. Cable or satellite viewing is about as good as can be expected for compressed HD material. Good but not great. However, that is not the fault of the tv. Garbage in = garbage out. The blacks are stunning on this tv along with motion and color accuracy. Better than my Samsung 64F8500 plasma. Cinema Home Pro mode is about as accurate a picture you can get. Doesn't even need to be calibrated. The android UI has improved considerably with the latest FW update. This tv is also extremely bright! The only real issue is off axis viewing, which is typical with VA panels. You get great blacks, but off axis is not that great. However, sitting anywhere on a sofa in front the tv will not have issues.

I did a lot of research before I decided to buy this TV, with that out of the way I can say that this is one of the best tv's on the market. The picture quality is out of this world. The black levels are truly black and the local dimming works as is should. This is the 2015 flagship model and still holds its own against any other brand in 2016.

Full array backlight makes a big difference makes the picture look natural...Pricey but I'm satisfied.....gaming and blu-Ray is awesome....can't wait for more affordable UHD blue ray players

I got this TV about a year ago and I cannot find anything negative to say about it. Great quality, picture is amazing, and 4K is just breathtaking. 3D is mind blowing!!!

I researched a LOT before purchasing this TV. I also had previously purchased an LG 9600 OLED about 2 months prior for my main living room. This Sony is for the my basement movie room. I can tell you that although the OLED performs amazingly with NATIVE 4K sources, the Sony 940C simply blows it out of the water in overall viewing experience. Firstly, the 75" makes for an amazing amount of screen real estate and the addition of the side speakers makes it a pretty monstrous TV. I am in the minority in that I actually really like the looks of the speakers. The shiny piano black finish is very cool looking and the speakers themselves are without a doubt the best performing built in speakers on any television. They wont beat a dedicated sound system, but are fantastic for built in speakers. I have had no issues with the Android operating system and actually find it pretty user friendly. The 2 remote controls that come with the TV are adequate. The one trackpad remote is great for voice search on Youtube and other sites. I do however wish the other main controller was backlit. A TV at this price point should in my opinion come with a backlit controller. Overall, I like the LG Magic Wand controller better, but not by much. Now, the important part...picture quality. This TV is overall simply jaw dropping with HD content. Regular 1080p Blu Rays, 4K Youtube, 4K Netflix and 4K Amazon Prime streaming is simply gorgeous. I also have the new Samsung 8500 Native 4K Blu Ray player, so I can also say that actual Native 4K Blu Ray HDR content is amazing. The TV is fully HDR after a software update. Upscaling is very good for over the air signals, WAY better than the LG OLED, which is really subpar. Granted some channels are better than others, it is overall very solid at upscaling. Standard def channels are not so good at 75" screen size, but who watches SD channels anymore anyway? I really like the 3-D on this TV, although I would say I probably prefer the passive 3-D of the LG OLED just a bit better. That being said, the 3-D of the Sony is def no slouch. Overall, this TV is just an amazing viewing experience, especially with HD content. The blacks are inky and deep, you cannot even see the difference between screen and bezel, especially in a darker room. It is probably about 95% as black as the OLED, maybe even more. It is amazingly bright...at 100% brightness, it is blinding! Colors are just amazing. I cannot say how much I love this TV. It def costs a small fortune, but is actually by far a way better value than the LG OLEDs. If you don't mind spending the money and want a 75" TV, do NOT hesitate...you will NOT be disappointed!

Love this Sony - 75 Class (74.5 Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black. Great picture & sound. We don't have a surround sound system in the room where we placed this tv, but the built in speakers are great. It is not uncommon for me to think something happened in the kitchen behind me. Then I realize it was the surround sound doing it's job! Some people may think the 75 inch is too large. Our sofa is 10 feet from the TV and it is great.. You could sit even closer & it will give you that theater feel.

LOVE this TV, made by Sony. Large beautiful, bright, sharp image, picture. Nobody has many movie out in 4K yet, but keeping my eyes open for them when they do start going on the market. Have watched a lot of HD BluRay and they are just wonderful, and have watched a LOT of the HD 4K Demo short movies, they are just beautiful on this TV. Have had this unit for about 4-5 weeks, absolutely LOVE it.

This is a truly remarkable TV. I am one of those ultra picky types when it comes to things like this, I tend to fixate on every little imperfection that doesn't generally concern others (if they don't call me crazy because they don't see what I'm seeing). Evidence: This was the 5th TV I've hung in the same spot over the last two months, returning and upgrading each time I wasn't quite satisfied (although some were bad enough most people would have taken issue). Then FINALLY this, the absolute perfect picture I was looking for. I tried to spend less but got less. I knew going in I was picky but hoped the new tech in the lower price range sets would satisfy me. I was wrong. This set is just beautiful with a level of brightness unmatched. I was concerned about it's potential but find myself using a lower than max setting. Knowing there is still room to kick it up further if I need to is great. The colors, contrast and shadow details are jaw dropping. All with plasma black blacks. No joke the blacks are astoundingingly black. Ultra bright whites and jet blacks side by side with no transition blooming or gray/mix whatsover, just a distinct clean and crisp line black to white. Beautiful 3d with no crosstalk that I've seen yet across 3 full movies. Phenomenal sound. This is the complete package, The end all for perfectionists (like me). If you feel buying a TV you'll be happy with has to be a gamble this takes all the betting out. It is not priced for bargain seekers, but is worth every penny. This is turning us into a 2-3 movie night a week family bringing us together even more often. That alone makes it worth the price of admission to me.

Great overall tv. Immediately after the update on the xbr940c my TV performed wonderfully. With a full back lit panel and dynamic color range, not to mention the fact the I just upgraded from a 50 inch (big difference) to a 75 inch. People complain about the speakers, but it adds a distinct presence. Very happy.

I bought this tv thinking it was going to have everything a smart tv has to offered and it disappointed me in that regard. Returned it back to the store and upgraded to Samsung 78js9500. Pro: picture quality. Cons: not a smart tv by no means, hard to figured out, speaker sound quality average, fuctionality very bad for all that it has to offer. In a way I tought I bought a tv made Apple and not Sony. To use most of the features on the tv it required extra attachment or hardware all sold just by Sony and last but not least bad customer service from Sony.

I still love this tv amazing picture amd like all my sony tvs performs top notch.
