This tv is a art piece,and the speakers sound very good The fald lighting could be a little better in terms of blooming but that can be fixed if they want to update the software .this tv is one of the best led tvs you can buy and this comes from someone who ownes a 65 zt. Oh no DV that may be a problem we'll see in 6 months

I bought this TV assuming I would get a quality experience out of the box. I was wrong. The Android operating system is a work in progress and I am the beta tester for Sony. This is unacceptable for a $7k TV. The latest issue besides the usual unresponsiveness is a constant pop up on the bottom left corner of the screen that appears during 3D Blu Ray playback. About every minute or so the message "Wide Mode: Full" appears. There is no solution to fix this until Sony does another software update. Who knows when that will be. Some people have reported work arounds for this problem but none have worked for me plus as a purchaser of this TV we should not be expected to find workarounds on the internet. Avoid this TV at all costs regardless of the price as it will surely be on sale soon to clear out this trash.

Sony has done it again this is a very nice TV especially with the speakers built in. Probably better mounted to wall than on top of credenza sort of heavy

The 75 inch tv fits good in our 26 by 26 big room.

I upgraded to the 940C from a 65VT60 plasma, and it has been nothing short of amazing. The blacks are equal to, if not better, than the VT60, without the fine screen noise visible on plasma TVs. Colors are vibrant and accurate, screen uniformity is nearly perfect, no blooming or DSE. Blu-Rays, 3D, 4K & HDR (only viewed thus far through Prime video) all looked fantastic. Gaming is responsive with no noticeable input lag. I did have an issue with the Wide Mode: Full popping up off and on during 3D playback, that I was able to resolve by toggling Auto Wide Mode off and back on in the settings. The Android UI in general is a work in progress, which while not optimal has not gotten in the way of my enjoyment thus far. Having demoed flagship TVs from two major competitors prior to settling on this TV, I can say for me that it is the best display currently on the market.

Coming from plasma and OLED and I am pretty stunned how far LED-LCD has come. The picture quality is among the best I've seen. Black levels are solid with minimal to almost non-existent black lift at high contrast intersections. The only thing I don't care for on the TV is the use of Android TV, but I am hopeful that will continue to improve. Expensive yes, but for me it is worth every penny.

The picture on this tv is amazing. I have it wall mounted and i can't stop watch it. The tv app interface is very useful as well. I am just waiting for the amazon instant video 4k upgrade to come. You will not be disappointed.

I can do a long boring review, but to put it short. the tv in any market 720p 1080p 4k is the greatest tv in the industry there is no tv better than the sony 940.. if an review on this tv comes back 4 or lower I will be amazed, anyone who rates it 4 or lower doesn't know what they have or doesn't know how to setup there tv.

I did alot of research before commiting to this one. Let me tell you....... You'll be getting the best. Sony has done a great job with this TV. I have been a sony customer for Life. I was looking to upgrade my last xbr series. This is by far the best resolution in the market. Easy to use. Love the remote. N the speakers are great too. Watching movies is a delight and we dont like to go to movies anymore. It gives you that movie theater feel at home. My family is spending more time together and i love that. Thank you sony.

JUST ORDERED TODAY - CANT WAIT TO GET IT SET UP AT HOME. REPLACING PIONEER KUDO ELITE PLASMA . REVIEWED SPECS AND SAW STORE DEMO - AWESOME PICTURE QUALITY - STAYED TUNED FOR FUTURE REVIEW ONCE INSTALLED

Pros: - The size. Although not obvious, a big step-up from 65'' and gives you theater like experience..The WOW factor is worth it.. - HDR . Fully supports HDR10 standard( It had the latest firmware update already including HDR). Significant improvement in PQ (High Contrast, Vivid colors, Brightness) . Pulls you into the scene..with the details that I didn't see in the non-HDR version of the same movie. Although Sony did not go through the UHD Alliance premium certification, 940C meets/exceeds the capability to meet those specs,I believe. - Cost . You simply can't get a top of the line 4K HDR 75'' TV at this price(~4500) . Not sure if the 2016 models Sony X940D or LG OLED G6 at 7-8K will justify the cost over this magnificant TV. - FALD : Full array local dimming, not an Edge lit . The Blacks are stunning..almost as close to the LG OLED. The dark scenes merges into the TV frame seamlessly, not the grey I was used to in my older TV. - 4K . Goes without saying.. Neutral: Side speakers : Best sounding "TV" speakers. Obviously can't compare to a regular 5.1 system. Wish these weren't there, but doesn't bother me much, although it adds to the width and weight. 8bit/10bit panel: Believe this does not make use of a true 10 bit panel, but 8 bit panel with Frame rate panel to produce 10 bit like performance. Not sure how much it matters really, this is absolutely top notch in picture quality, dynamic range and black levels.. HDR10/Dolby Vision. Sony , at this point only supports HDR10,not Dolby Vision HDR extension introduced in 2016...Most of the HDR titles are HDR10 and is the base HDR standard used in the industry now, so doesn't matter(atleast to me). Cons: None so far... ** Special appreciation to Best Buy/Chris at Wilmington,DE for their great customer focus & service..Made the 940C selection/exchange process absolutely smooth. Overall, highly recommended and I am very pleased with the 4K/HDR experience with this TV..absolutely worth the wait. LG OLED TVs are the only comparable TVs with excellent PQ & True black levels, imho, but its a compromise at 65'' and am glad didn't make that compromise...
