    Was a great tv till after the first year. The backlight doesn't hold up and starts burning through the picture to where you can currently see about 8 individual LEDs on one row clearly.

    Good value, screen quality, glitchy

    Although the screen quality is great and I got this at a pretty good price it is a little glitchy. It keeps losing internet access and I have to power cycle the tv. I did all the software updates but have read some blogs that it seems to be a known problem.

This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have on our premium TV. To get the most out of your X900H, we recommend updating its firmware to the latest version (v6.0414). The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.       For your Wi-Fi issue, please try following the steps below to isolate the problem:

      • The Wi-Fi signal strength is weak
      - Place the router close to your TV, then check if the signal strength has improved.
      • Your TV is too close to the router
      - It is recommended that the TV and router be at least 1 meter (3 feet) apart.
      • Other devices are connected to the same network
      - If other devices are downloading large-sized files, such as videos, the network speed may slow down. Cancel or wait until this activity completes and try again.
      • Restart your TV and reset your router
      - To restart your TV, press and hold the POWER button on the remote control for about five seconds until Power off appears on the TV screen.
      - To reset the router, check your router manual for instructions.
      • Interference from other wireless devices
      - If multiple wireless devices or electric equipment, such as microwave ovens, are used at home, it may affect the Wi-Fi performance of your TV. Power off these devices when not in use, or keep them away from your TV.
      - Electromagnetic interference may also occur depending on the location of the TV. If possible, change its location and check if the performance improves.

    I've had nothing but headaches ever since I purchased this TV. The new update is extremely buggy. It restarts by itself and randomly loses audio connection to external speakers. If I don't get this issue resolved, I'll be returning it and purchasing a Samsung.

      We sincerely regret to hear you are having an issue with your X900H. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have in our product. Let's try to isolate your reboot issue by following the steps below:

      1. If you are using an HDMI®️ cable to connect a device to your TV, make sure it is a Certified Premium HDMI cable with a length of 6 feet or less.
      • Skip this step if you don’t have one available.

      2. Set the RS232C control to Via serial port.
      Note: This setting may affect the power consumption of the TV.
      A. On the remote control, press the HOME button.
      B. Select Settings → Remotes & Accessories → Via serial port.
      Note: If this step does not resolve the issue, change this back to the original setting before continuing.

      3. Perform a reset on the TV. Please refer to this link for instructions https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00159487.

    My husband and I purchased this TV and have had nothing but issues with it. After talking to Best Buy, as it turns out the "mother board" is bad. So we have been waiting for weeks for Best Buy to get the part in and replace the bad mother board.

    Broke in 19 days, 15 day returns policy.

    TV broke in 19 days... Ok that may happen with mass production, so that is why a return policy is important. Best buy only offers 15 day returns... The manager said I had to go contact sony, he could not help. But offered to do an exchange if I had an approved return. After 5 calls and three hours of effort I got this arranged. At the final step the best buy phone geek squad tech said I was an elite member. No need to arrange a "AR". I went back to the store with my 75" TV for a second time. I stated I was an elite member from the credit card I opened, this allowed a 30 day return. The manager seemed angry, probably hurt his metrics that corporate tracks. Bottom line, 15 days is short, this policy makes Best Buy less competitive. The TV is great but worried it may happen again (blank screen).

    I wish someone would respond to my question --I want the 2yrs warranty that I purchased with the Dyson to be refunded as the Dyson comes already with a 2 yr warranty !! I feel that as a loyal 3,000 dollar customer ,that someone would help me .

    Sony ( tv randomly keeps shutting off)No fix atm

    The tv keeps turning off. Randomly. I took off sleep mode / auto update (manually do this) and anything else that could cause it based on reading ppl on technical support. Very annoying and may return it before jan 2021 returnable date.

    TV wasn’t good at upscaling my HD Content that came from my Directv Box.It was a good tv otherwise for my 4K stuff that I played on it. All in all,go with a Samsung TV if you are looking for better upscaling

Please make sure that TV software is updated as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. To view HDR content from a HDMI device connected to TV, use a Premium High Speed HDMI cable which supports 18Gbps and set the HDMI signal format for the connected HDMI port to Enhanced format. You can also configure various settings related to the TV display such as video signal by setting the HDR mode which is a picture that is suitable for a High Dynamic Range signal.     Not a home theatre friendly tv…

    This tv hates all soundbars especially the Sony soundbars. Sound constantly cuts out while watching tv. Only fix is to go into the settings reset the tv and turn the soundbar off then on again. Other option is to just turn the soundbar off, and set the audio to tv. Then the sound is small and fuzzy. I’ve had this tv for just over a year, and this has been nothing but a pain. If you like having to set the sound settings 3 to 4 times a day just to get sound, then this is the best tv for you. Other than that, it’s fine.

    1 star because 0 is not an option. Sony makes a beautiful looking TV, but it is complete garbage. My TV lasted 14 months. Coincidentally, the manufacturers warranty lasted 12. After speaking with Sony's technical support they advised me to go buy a new one and were kind enough to share the link with their newest and best technology. Save your time, money, and patience and buy a Samsung. I would have been better off renting a TV from rent-a-center.

    This is a great looking TV, when it's working. We bought this TV under a recommendation from a friend who owns the same set and loves it. That hasn't been the case for us. It consistently has issues connecting to the wifi, sending the audio via hdmi-arc, and the UI needs constant reseting. I really wanted to love this TV, we spent enough money that we should love this TV. This television is like Christmas of last year, disappointing on many levels.

    I ended up returning this TV and paying more to upgrade to the LG OLED. I felt the picture was too washed out. Edge Lit back lighting drowns out the blacks. I really do not feel it is worth the price.

    4K 120 BLURRY

    Sony has been marketing the x900h as 4K 120Hz capable and ready for the PS5 once the relevant firmware update releases. This promise was the only reason I decided to purchase this model. The update is here, and not only has Sony not delivered, but they have stated that they no intention to do so. With 4K 120 enabled this TV has a very blurry image. A reputable review site called them out on this and a Sony rep replied that it was basically a design decision. This is unacceptable Sony and I will be returning this TV.

    Go for OLED

    It worked great for the 1st couple days! Everything connected and everything worked. Then it started disconnecting from the WiFi and the only way to reconnect it was to reset the TV. Then it started to not connect to the soundbar automatically so we have to turn the soundbar on or enable the TV speakers. Linking my Android phone to the TV is a hit or miss but it works good with IOS. As per the picture quality, it is fine until you get to the dark scenes! We had to get blackout curtains for our house to be able to make out the image.

    decent but missing promised updates

    Promised updates are lagging behind that were part of the original buying decision. It pairs well with Ps5, but I would recommend an OLED at this point.
