Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So far so good! :) The only downside I've noticed is that our converter to turn turn our original (2001) Xbox's RCA cables into an hdmi no longer works. With our older TV, the converter was amazing, but the tv flickers when we switch to that hdmi port. AMAZING picture quality and color. Do use the standard setting and turn on the motion feature, otherwise it can be a bit harsh on the eyes while watching something that moves quickly. I definitely recommend this tv, were just hoping to find a better converter for our original xbox. :)

Sluggish after only a couple years of ownership

All in all, it's a pretty substandard software experience. Even worse than a Hisense set I have in my room. But, to be honest, you can also have purchased omthe A80J as a monitor and have a terrible software experience so it must be a Sony thing. Slow crappy ancient SoC paired with lazy builds of Google OS is a recipe for disaster and this thing doesn't disappoint

Upscaling lower quality films and shows is a must for me as I like watching older movies and shows, even some lower than HD live tv shows. Sony does an immaculate job at using its software to make those what would be grainy images look as clear as can be! I love it! Best 75" tv purchase ever! No ragrets!

DO YOUR HOMEWORK!

First the picture quality is very good, 4k is stunning. BUT, this set is plagued with software issues. It constantly reboots without warning, streaming using any app results in it returning to the main menu for no reason at some time during the program, ARC is totally useless as the sounds cuts in and out every 2 to 3 minutes. My advice to anyone considering this set is to do some online research, apparently these are issues being experienced by the majority of owners. A firmware update is in progress and promises to fix at least some of these issues, but a previous release appears to have created more problems than it fixed. Sony may have rushed this one to retailers before it did any quality control testing.

Has It All For A Fair Price

Good. Less than Expected

Almost as if 120Hz isnt enough for that size TV. I am no TV Expert by any means but going from the XBR900 to this, I am less than impressed. Wonder if there is anything that can be done to enhance my sports watching experience?

The Sony's run on Android and I really hate it. The Tv will randomy switch modes right when you are watching it. It will jump from watch HDMI to TV, or to Sony TV, and anything in between. It's very annoying. The screen mirroring is flaky. I have read reviews of prvious models and I guess it's just a bad design. I wish I had read them sooner. If I just had a cable box and didn't use anything else on the TV it might be okay. Anyone want to buy it cheap. I'll eat the loss.

The TV may switch to the last input used for an external device connected via HDMI® cables such as a game console (PS3 or PS4), High-definition cable box or satellite receiver, A/V receiver, Blu-ray Disc® player, media player, or a home theatre system. The BRAVIA™ Sync function of the TV sets the priority to the device connected to the ARC (Audio Return Channel) input of the TV. If a third-party device (that is not compatible with the BRAVIA Sync feature) is connected, the TV may switch to the input used by the BRAVIA Sync compatible device. Great picture, serious audio lag, terrible support

The video is great, but the audio has been nothing but trouble from the day it came out of the box. First it would not connect with my soundbar, a Definitive Technologies Studio Slim, and when it did it only played one channel of audio. After a second visit from the Geek Squad, the first being the installation, that problem got fixed. Then two weeks ago the TV started experiencing significant audio lag. This happened after a software update. Best Buy had me do a hard restart, which helps for about 10 to 15 minutes, then the lag returns. And the lag is bad with the TV speakers, and terrible with the soundbar. The most frustrating part, though, is that after spending over $2,500 on a tv and a sound bar I can’t seem to get any assistance from Sony or Best Buy, despite calls and emails and texts. Have to say, next time I will buy at a dealer that can provide service, and I will not buy Sony.

Definitely Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my Sony XBR75X900H SKU 6401207 in September of 2019 from Best Buy in Garland, TX for just over 2k. I was not expecting such poor performance from a Sony product. Actually copying most of my review from another dissatisfied customer who purchased his Sony XBR75X900H in November of 2020 as our problems seem unfortunately similar. Issues I have encountered: 1. Frequent problem with switching to external speakers when the tv starts. (Vizio 5.1 surround sound) 2. Bluetooth headphones issues - voice cuts off every few minutes 3. When turning the TV on it periodically reboots itself 4. Initially the TV would randomly shut off without any timer setting 5. Currently the TV is in an endless loop of turning itself on and off so I cannot watch anything much less download any updates or bug fixes that Sony has released I did not purchase the extra protection plan as I felt it silly to bet on a premium television breaking so soon. Definite pass on this TV as there are far too many similar stories.

Not worth the money

The Samsung that I bought 5 years ago has picture quality as good as this Sony. The problems with this TV persist daily. 1. It often does not power on properly. When I press the power button on the remote, nothing happens. I need to unplug the TV, wait a minute or so, then plug back in and try to power it on again. This works, but obviously is not something I should have to do on such a regular basis. 2. As mentioned the picture quality is merely ok. Certainly nothing better than my old Samsung or my even my older LG. Also the picture is dark. Even when I turn Brightness to its highest level. 3. Glare is on this TV is brutal. Good luck watching with any of your windows open during daylight hours. For me and my family, this was a big ticket purchase. We are extremely disappointed with the quality of this TV. Don't be fooled by the Sony "good reputation." I strongly suggest you purchase a Samgsung, LG or even a Vizio.

Posted .Hi Mark, we are really sorry if our X900H did not meet your expectations. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have in our premium TV. For your power issue, if you haven't tried yet, please follow the steps below to isolate and fix this problem:
1. Make sure the AC power adapter is pushed all the way into the AC power IN of the TV.
2. Make sure the AC power cord is connected securely to a working outlet.
3. If your TV was previously plugged into a power strip or surge protector, plug it directly into the wall outlet instead in case the power strip or surge protector was causing a problem.
For the dark picture, some of these problems can be fixed by adjusting the picture settings of the TV according to your preferences. Please go to Settings - Display & Sound - Picture. You can also change the picture advanced settings of this TV for a better viewing experience. This TV features Light Sensor which makes the picture brighter or lower depending on room lighting conditions. Turning off this function may increase picture brightness.

What a crappy tv and Best Buy dose nothing

Awful

They came with new firmware to fix it but they made new problem. The wifi turns off by itself and I am not able to turn it on. I think some highschoolers write firmware for Sony. I don't recommend Sony at all.

Sound cutting out.

I regret ever purchasing it. My x900f also has a bug causing it to reboot from its latest firmware. Don't purchase until this is fixed, you'll go mad.

Garbage Sony 900H
