Very happy with this TV. We narrowed between this and the 82" Samsung. So glad we chose this one. Deep blacks makes all the difference. Picture is crisp, settings make it easy to refine the picture and sound for the need. You wont be disappointed

My expectations were tempered based on other's reviews. I think, using default settings, you would be disappointed in some combination of action movies and sports if you left the TV as is. But, there is a display settings menu available for a reason and using the preset display options makes a world of difference. Sports, Cinema and Vivid are all useful. Digging into the settings further will fine the the experience more. If you are going to make this type of investment, you need to understand what the motion settings will do and be willing to play with the settings a bit. After some adjustments, I find this to be worth every penny of the $3500 I paid.

My wife and i could not be more pleased, it's like having movie theater at home. The 85" screen complets our living room. The color is perfect,BRILLIANT RICH reds and blacks ate stunning.

We love this 85” Sony TV . The color and sound are fabulous . No one has ever complained about a TV being too big , so we purchased two of these exact models for our home .

I was concerned that the 85" would be too large for what I was looking for. But it ended up being a perfect size for the basement project. Great TV, wonderful picture.

Very fast response. Perfect voice command recognition. Built in chrome cast and so many applications and many setting impressed me. The response time of the tv is amazing. The 4k colors are perfect. I don’t need anything more vivid. I also have a 70” Visio tv and this Sony beats it in all respects (note the visio is about the third in price compared to this 85” tv). But this Sony is worth every penny (the Visio also have proven it’s money’s worth, but with a couple of more grands you should get the best as the moments you spend in the front of tv are not going to come back in you life again)

I will start off by saying this TV is quite large. Duh! That's why you buy an 85 in. It does seem to me my older Samsung TV has a better picture and is not a 4k TV. However, I did kind of start tinkering with some of the settings and the picture is getting somewhat better. When there is a strobe effect In a scene, sometimes there will be a bunch of squares. I guess that has something to do with the refresh rate. The default settings are not the greatest ecspecially the sports. Wish Sony would give some other fine tuning picture quality adjustments. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. Plus it was on sale.

Very easy setup, great packaging , easy to breakdown and unpack. Unbelievable picture quality. We added a soundbar as the tv is in a large room

You can't lose with this TV! It is better than awesome-wonderful color, picture and easy to operate! Does anything I would want plus!!!

This TV has a fantastic picture! We haven’t used very many features, yet; but installed the Wii and the Grands love it. They have a 65” in the basement (purchased from Best Buy) with a PS4. Both TV’s were installed by the Geek Squad and that couldn’t have been a better experience.

If you don't want to spend the money on a new 2019 85" tv then this 850F won't break your wallet. It's plenty big and bright enough for your viewing experience. Contrast is very good however doesn't have Dolby Vision. Processing is really good so detail is nice. So if you want a very large screen with very good clarity whether you're watching from the front or from the side you won't be disappointed with this model

I couldn’t be happier with my new purchase. Combined with my home theater system it is like a movie theater right at home. You won’t find a better tv as far as quality/size/price anywhere on the market.

I've had this tv for a month now and it is fantastic. The picture is great and there is no blurring when watching sports. The remote is easy to use and controls the fire tv (although I probably don't need it because so many apps are available). It didn't take long to set it up out of the box. Plenty of Inputs for multiple gaming systems, DVD players, etc. Split screen gaming on a giant tv is next level. The sound isn't bad but I use a sound bar package for movies.

Went to the store to look at the Samsung but after comparing pictures the Sony was obviously a better choice delivered on time. set up was easy couldn't be more happy the picture is outstanding I haven't touched Any settings is perfect right out a Box everything I plugged into it works perfect. remote works smoothly does whatever I want it to instantly couldn't be more happier

I already had a 75 inch version of this television which I loved and as soon as the 85 inch version went on sale I bought it. It is amazing how much bigger an 85 inch TV is compared to the 75. It is hard to beat the picture and quality of the higher end Sony televisions.

This TV has great clarity, extremely vibrant color and awesome brightness. We can have the sun shining in behind our theater seats and the picture is still bright. Watching our Lightning Hockey Club play is like sitting on the ice and being in the middle of the game.

This T.V has a great quality image and easy use on the remote. And it’s size makes it perfect!

Functionality is great. We chose Sony over the Samsung based in ease of use. Great clear picture.
