But the only issue is the remote it is not very smart to connect with the cable box and surround system on its own , it requires iR blaster ( long wire from the tv to touch the cable box or the surround for the remote to recognize)

I thought about wall mounting it like the rest of my TVs but haven't had the opportunity to do so. The hefty weight has allowed Sony to provide it with some decent speakers on a flat panel. The screen technology is also different than the rest of the line as it uses the same screen tech as the model higher. It has your standard set of features and the fact that the TV has many options to choose from as it uses the Android OS. Going back to the size, be prepared to custom make your own TV stand, as I have done. The TV is awesome. I was on the verge of getting a projector for the pre wired media room but the lazy side of me just opted for this monster. All of the goodness of a flat panel with the eye candy of a size. The only issue is very faint vinetting. You'll have to look for it. It isn't obvious but it is there. I also ruled out the Samsung because the stock they had was 82 and well, this was bigger.

Amazing TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to buy a 82" Samsung TV and have been a Samsumg guy for almost a decade but when I compared the picture between that TV and the 85" Sony TV, I instantly fell in love with the Sony and bought it. Love the TV and im very happy I made the right choice.

The 85" is a different tv than the rest of them and is a much better choice. The only thing this tv needs an improvement on is the reflection handling. But, it is still an awesome tv with a great picture.

GREAT PICTURE AND UPSCALING

The only problem I have had is with sound on the Prime Video app in the smart TV mode and I am pretty sure that is a problem of compatibility with the App since all the other ones work well.
