Died after two months!

Would not power on. Unplugged overnight and it came back on. Worked for a few days then died again. BestBuy came out and it needs a motherboard. Will take a week to get it in and installed. After paying this much and never having had a television do anything like this, I am pretty turned off to Sony - after being a fan for years. The menu system is challenging. And I cannot get an answer as to when Apple TV app will be available for the Android TV from Sony. But if all these issues get corrected, I think we will be very happy.

There is something off about the android tv or the apps. About once a day now the sound just goes out. I can switch to other apps, kill all the one's running, it doesn't matter. The only way to fix it is to reboot. Really annoying. I think I may have to get a roku so I dont have to use the apps on this tv. I'm hoping that will fix the issue but then why get a tv that has all this built in if they can't get it right?

Hard to operate

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The picture quality is poor, the sound sucks, and when you switch to a streaming app the sound quits and the whole system has to be powered down and then unplugged to get it to work again. It just looses it's everything for no reason sometimes, another restart to fix that again. I should have bought the Samsung. CRAP $4500 down the drain. No more Sonys for me.

The TV was never moved after its initial installation and I used a power conditioner to eliminate any voltage fluctuations or spikes. Not what I would expect from a premium brand OEM. The TV was great before the failure. You'll want to purchase the extended warranty.
