    My home theater is 18 by 18 so I needed a big screen. I was between a comparable Samsung and the Sony in the end the Sony won out on price.

    We used to be a Samsung family....until we had a problem with a Samsun 85" that was under warranty because it was less than a year old. The massive hassle and weeks of arguing with Samsung made us open to exploring other manufacturers when we previously ONLY bought Samsung. Wow are we glad we looked at Sony. This TV is spectacular....and better than the original Samsung we had purchased. Great TV and picture quality. Best Buy's price match guarantee during the holiday made this purchase a non-event.

    I had a Sharp Aquos 80" TV (1080p native) for 6 years which was a great TV, but with all the technology changes it was time to upgrade. My wife noticed a difference immediately, it was well worth the money. I am still not able to get the GUI from my receiver to appear on the Sony as it did on the Sharp, I am using a composite connection from the receiver (monitor out) to the Sony (video in) and with an adapter converting RCA to 3.5mm input for the TV - no display. I plan to let the Geek Squad deal with it.

    Nice tv, lots of options to tune in picture and colors. Setup was a little different than normal with the google and sony sign ins. Its nice and thin, but it is heavy.

    Amazing TV. Works great for streaming or cable. I know some people say don't spend money on hdmi cable but I switched to a premium one after a couple days with my cable and was then really blown away. 4k picture on marvel movies streaming on Disney+ is also really amazing. Sports motion looks great too. Very happy with my purchase. I've experienced one or 2 streaming issues but not sure if it was the app or system. TV restart fixed it both times.

    Excellent Sony 85 inch 4K tv. I had Best Buy’s Geek Squad deliver and mount it on my livingroom wall. It replaced a 82 inch Samsung 8K tv that burned out it’s motherboard, which Samsung gave me a full refund for. I beefed up the sound with a 600 watt sound bar with a 10 inch woofer… which really completes the big movie experience. VERY HAPPY with everything… the Geek Squad made it a smooth transition for us.

    This is a fantastic TV at a great price point. The color balance is perfect right out of the box. The whites are pure and the blacks excellent. The audio is decent if you just want to watch the news or a game show or cooking show without powering up your big speakers or surround sound. The off angle viewing is perfect and there is plenty of brightness for a very light environment.

    After hemming and hawing and looking at tvs for several weeks, I finally decided on this Sony. It was more than I had planned on spending but ultimately I am very happy with the decision. The tv has an amazing picture (as to be expected) and provides an immersive experience. I could go on about specs and features but the reality is that the picture is incredible, the interface intuitive, and it's a pleasure to watch.

    All around great TV, highly recommend. However be careful when having it delivered, the delivery guys were a bit sketch. They left the TV in my garage and never had anyone sign anything for delivery so I came downstairs and a giant TV box was sitting in my garage and I had to have friends help me move it into my house.

    Stunning display, both in terms of clarity and color, even in bright light. I was skeptical of the hype but it over-delivered. Watch a Pixar movie on it and swoon. Sound from the speakers was OK, but for this baby you need a real system. Not using the smart features since we have it connected to Apple TV box.

    Not much of a Techy but love my TV's! And this one is the cream of the crop. Apps are abundant for most available entertainment, and the picture is flawless. Hooked up the external speaker system option but could not use with any mode other than TV so I disconnected and use the 20 watt internal speakers.

    This 85” TV has great picture to be sure but Be Warned- it constantly has issues with lip synch audio; lips are a second behind what you hear. Seriously annoying. Doesn’t matter cable, DVD, or stream. I had this same issue w 2019 850 model, was thinking surely it would be corrected in brand new $4000 950H. On phone w tech support w 45 minutes as they controlled screen and delved deeply into audio settings. Finally they told me this is a problem Sony has been dealing with and hopes to have annual update to resolve. Incredible. Totally negligent to knowingly sell a product they know is defective. Major inconvenience. I will never buy another Sony TV.
