After almost two years and many calls to Sony the sound appears to be stable. Purchased another competitors TV the following year due to this issue and no problems at all with sound or picture.

The screen is INCREDIBLE (Colors) and options are so cool (still keep learning!)! The blue-tooth that you can use from your phone / laptop to the TV is AWESOME!!!
