Starts up and gets going almost immediately. The remote is very old school but, I use my BOSE sound bar remote to control the TV and sound so, works for me. I got it a great price. Very happy. Looking to extend service from 1 to 3 years.

Hopefully soon this can be accessed someway to avoid having to have the box. Movie theaters are out of the question so now we brought it to our living room!

Brightness and sharpness of objects is less than comparable samsung models. I ended up returning and getting Q80. Good value for the money, when comparing to LG D90 or Samsung Q80. Appearently, too many levels of configuration to choose , from the Sony lineup itself.

So I bought black out curtains for the triple window directly behind this gorgeous monstrosity, only to learn they aren’t needed because this thing is so big it has its own gravitational field...and it covers the entire window as well.

Turning into a nightmare

Have only had it for 4 months and the screen constantly flickers, it shuts down and restarts on itself, one time it made a loud echoing noise that almost sounded like a computer crashing on itself. Then the screen went black and it shut down. A new issue that just started happening too is sometimes the volume doesn’t work on certain apps. So the only way to fix this is a factory reset which is beyond irritating because I have to redownload all my apps and sign back into everything. This is my second time calling to schedule geek squad to come back out to my home to address the issue. Now they want to take my tv apart and replace internal parts. For almost a $3,000 TV this is extremely irritating. Wish I went with another Samsung instead. I shouldn’t have to have a brand new tv taken apart.
