    Not so happy buyer

    It’s been few months since I bought this (bought it during Christmas time) and running into minor issues every other weeks. When on YouTube there is a Green light that flashes every few seconds and tv turns off while watching a program. It’s annoying playing almost $2k for this product and it’s not what I expected. Will be replacing/returning this tv soon

We have identified the cause and have issued a firmware update to resolve these issues. You should have received a notification on your TV to download the latest firmware, just make sure you have an active internet connection. For more information, please refer to the link below:

    Ongoing firmware issues with tv that cause the audio to cut out when sent through an AV receiver. Have spent hours on the phone with Sony support to be told it is a firmware issue. The first firmware they pushed to fix the problem didn’t resolve it. They have no ETA/timeline when a new firmware will be available. Sony refuses to repair or replace the TV because it’s a firmware issue. I’m outside my return window with Best Buy and now have to deal with a manufacturer who refuses to standby their product; rather hide behind a “we are working on it” with no ETA. Don’t buy a Sony 900 series if you plan on using external speakers. Otherwise the picture is amazing. Just wish the sound would stop cutting out. Of corse it started happening after owning a few months; outside the return window.

    Beware with this brand, only 8/9 months start in the screen a black staninds i use my warranty and sony send me another tv similar the old one and coumple months later same problem

    Buggy TV

    Just over 2 months in, and there are several buggy issues with this TV. First, the TV would intermittently not recognize the cable box or other HDMI devices. After a week of intermittent connectivity where I'd have to unplug/plug back in HDMI cables, turn off/reset the TV, or do factory resets, the HDMI ports would rarely connect to a device (and that was after hours of trying to get a connection). Geek squad came out and replaced the HDMI board and, so far (3 days), the TV is working correctly. Second, the TV will randomly shut off for no reason. Third, when left on for extended periods, the voice/video will lose sync. You have to turn the TV off in order for the voice/video to resync. Not sure if I just got a TV with buggy software or bad components, but I don't believe I'd repurchase on the off chance all TVs have the same issues.

    To be honest with you... I really didn't like the picture quality of this T.V. It was grainy and pixelated. I found myself constantly trying to adjust the color of the picture. Maybe it was due to the size of the screen (85 inch) that made it seem this way but I was unhappy with this product
