This is an 8gb memory card, it works exactly as designed but it's only 8gb. If this size will work for your, this is a worthwhile card at a decent price.

There isn't much to say about it since it's a memory card, but one thing does stand out and that's just the price. Sony really overcharges for this thing but there is so substitute so you're stuck. Also, 8gb won't get you terribly far so unfortunately you either have to spring for a bigger card or have a few to shuffle out. The cards are pretty small though so it's probably best to just get the 32 gb and not have to worry about carrying too many. Also - you MUST have the card to do just about anything so don't forget to pick yours up.

If you're like me and don't have quite enough to get the more expensive memory cards then the 8 GB one will tide you over until you save up enough to buy the 16 or the 32. By the time I bought my vita with a game and starter kit I didn't really feel like shelling out another 100 bucks for a memory card. The 8 is the best value in my opinion. I figured that 8 would be good until I saved up for the 32 and I don't regret my decison at all.
I have uncharted on a cartridge and I have downloaded quite a few demos to try out other games that I might want to purchase in the future. Plus, I have my music and pics as well. Don't get scared into thinking that you have to buy the most memory for the system right off the bat. Just save for the big one when the vita has a bunch of really good titles.

This is an 8 GB memory card, REQUIRED for the PS Vita. The price point isn't the worst thing I have ever seen, and paying %50 more than the 4 GB card for %100 more storage space only made sense. Easy to install and can hold a decent amount of data. I've done the required installations for Uncharted and FIFA, both physical copies, and downloaded the 3 free AR games to use with the AR cards included with the system and still have over 7 gigs free. It will get the job done for what I need and I doubt I will ever fill it as I am not one to purchase digital games unless that is the ONLY way they are available. AND it's $5 cheaper at Best Buy and any other store than the other leading gaming retail store.

Memory card for PS Vita

A PS Vita memory is pretty much needed if you have a Ps Vita. I got the 8gb card and it holds a few digital game downloads (depends on the size of games) and it works well. It is a little pricy though.

The stick does the job and at a fast rate. only thing is that it for ps vita only. if i do decide to expand my memory in the Vita, the old one has no home. at least the the memory stick pro duos i can put them in my digital cameras.

If you want to use your PS Vita then you need to get a memory card. Would recommend getting a larger one if you want to download games to this either titles from PSP or some of the cheaper games that are not offered on a media disk.

The Vita's only flaw...

I absolutely LOVE the Vita. LOVE it! It's only shortcoming, other than a somewhat mediocre battery life, is its proprietary memory card. If there is anything holding people back from making the jump to this tremendous system it is quite possibly this.

This is just standard issue flash memory. Paying more, i expect better performance in some way, but Sony is just gouging Vita owners by charging $30. If you want to play the vita right now, there are no other options than these overpriced proprietary cards.
