Customer Ratings & Reviews

The Sony Alpha 7 IV (A7M4) is, without a doubt, one of the best cameras available today. Striking the perfect balance between photo and video capabilities, it stands out as an incredibly versatile and intelligent choice at a reasonable price. One of its key strengths is its ability to excel in both photography and videography. Unlike many cameras that compromise on one aspect, the A7M4 delivers stunning image quality while also offering impressive 4K video recording. While it does apply a 1.5x crop in 4K 60p mode, especially when compared to the FX3, this is hardly a deal-breaker. In fact, for portrait and subject-focused shots, the slight crop can enhance framing and composition, providing beautiful, natural skin tones with built-in processing that make subjects look even better on screen. On the photography side, the 33MP sensor delivers sharp, high-resolution images with excellent dynamic range. Whether capturing landscapes, portraits, or street photography, the A7M4 produces consistent and professional results. The advanced autofocus system with real-time tracking ensures precise and reliable focus, making it a dream for both stills and video work. For those working in content creation or production, the A7M4 is a must-have tool. It offers dual functionality without requiring multiple camera systems, making it an ideal choice for filmmakers, photographers, and hybrid shooters alike. The ergonomic design, improved menu system, and customizable controls also make it a joy to use in professional workflows. If you’re looking for one camera that does it all, the Sony Alpha 7 IV is the ultimate choice. It’s an essential piece of gear for anyone in production, delivering versatility, reliability, and outstanding image quality all in a single package.

I’ve always used Canon cameras, but this is my first Sony, and I love it — love it! Right out of the box, the camera feels solid and intuitive, and it has a ton of features that are perfect for the kind of work I do (product and candle photography). The image quality is beautiful straight out of camera, and I felt like the price was very reasonable given what you’re getting. The menus were easier to navigate than I expected coming from Canon, and once I dialed in my lighting setup, the results were consistently sharp and clean with minimal tweaking. I’m currently looking into what other lenses I can get next to expand my capabilities — loving the versatility so far. Highly recommend for anyone switching systems or stepping up their photography game!

Sony a7 IV Review – A Year In I’ve been using the Sony a7 IV for almost a year now, and I can honestly say it handles just about anything I throw at it. I do both videography and photography professionally, and I love that this camera can manage both with ease. The colors and image quality are always super crisp, no matter the setting. One of my favorite features is the full-size HDMI port. It makes plugging in my external monitor quick and hassle-free, which is huge when I’m working on video shoots. Of course, once you add a lens, especially larger ones, the setup can get heavy after long hours of use. But the results are absolutely worth it. Overall, I really love this camera. It’s been incredibly reliable, and I can tell it’s going to last me a long time. If you’re looking for a hybrid camera that delivers on both photo and video, the a7 IV is a solid choice. If you're looking for a camera that can handle it all this is it.

I love this camera. I upgraded from the Sony a7R III, and honestly, this feels like a completely different experience. My old camera always felt a little glitchy and slow at times, but the a7 IV is smooth, reliable, and just works the way you expect it to. The upgraded menu alone is a game changer. It’s so much more intuitive and easier to navigate, especially when you're working quickly during a shoot. The touchscreen is another huge win, making focusing and menu adjustments way faster and more natural. Yes, the body is slightly larger, but it still feels compact compared to other full-frame cameras in this category, and the ergonomics are noticeably better. It feels solid in your hands without being bulky. What really stands out is how much it has improved my shooting experience overall. From autofocus performance to usability, everything feels faster, smarter, and more dialed in. It’s one of those upgrades that actually makes you enjoy shooting more. If you're coming from an older Sony body or even considering switching systems, this is 100% worth it.

I'm a cannon dlsr user I came from the 5d mark 3 and when I first used the a7 mark 4 I was impressed from the grip and the feel of the camera and it was super easy to learn and use the system and controll my settings coming from cannon older dlsrs I really enjoy the autofocus system which is insane, the low light performance is crazy and it blew me away the iso can go super high and the sony e mount lens are diverse instead of cannons EF or newer RF lens I can use any third party lens that I want, the one feature I love on this camera is the cont bracketing feature because I do realstate photography it's super easy to set up bracketing and it only takes me 10 seconds to take a photo that's HDR bracketed this is my most favorite camera I'm thinking of getting the newer generations of the alpha series in the future.

Really happy with this purchase. The quality feels great and it works exactly as expected. Setup was simple, performance has been reliable, and it made my experience much better overall. Definitely worth the price and I would recommend it to others looking for something dependable.

The best mirrorless camera with lots of features. Best decision I have made to purchase Sony Alpha 7 IV which suffices all purpose of photo and video shoot.

This is one of the most incredible cameras I’ve ever used. I truly love taking photos with it, it’s amazing.

A powerhouse of a hybrid photo and video camera with an absolutely beautiful body! Very lightweight, even with a Sigma 28-70mm lens. I added a strap from Peak Design and it works great. There have been reviews on this model having overheating issues, but so far it seems like a normal amount. I would just make sure to change the heat temperature setting. Overall seems like a good buy for a hybrid camera to last a long time.

I bought the Sony A7 IV at Best Buy recently and had a really good experience. Chase, the young guy who helped me, was super nice, patient, and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and helped me pick out what I needed without being pushy at all. The camera is amazing and I’m really happy with it so far. Overall, great customer service and a smooth in-store experience. Thanks again to Chase for all the help!

Still a great camera even after newer models like the A7 V released. Relatively small and easy to pack, making it good for those who need extra space in their bag or who want to keep a lower profile during events. Flip out screen and Autofocus are top notch. Only the menu system lets it down. While it is Sony's 2nd version of the menus, it's still not as intuitive as Nikon or Canon (also Fuji, but I have less experience with those). Best part is Sony's relatively open E-Mount format, meaning lots of cheap 3rd party lenses.

Supper happy with the A7iv. I've wanted to upgrade my Sony A6000 to a newer, fullframe camera and the day finally happened while out on vacation! Pictures are super crispy, My only wish is that they had the one with the kit lens in stock.

I've had the A7iii for 4 years and finally upgraded. This camera is amazing. Shooting 10 bit for video and also a powerhouse for photography. I love the extra dynamic range I am getting. The colors do look better on this camera. Auto focus seems very responsive and all of my lenses have worked flawlessly on it so far. The menu system is updated and takes a while to get used to. Overall, it's a great camera so far. I can't wait to shoot with it more.

This camera feels undeniably premium from the moment you pick it up. The build quality is solid and reassuring, with a finish that looks and feels high-end. The controls and buttons are well-placed, and the menu system is intuitive and easy to navigate even for beginners. Finding settings and making adjustments is quick and hassle-free, which makes shooting more enjoyable and less distracting. One of my favorite features is the adjustable screen. It adds so much convenience when taking photos from tricky angles, whether you’re shooting low to the ground, above a crowd, or capturing selfies. It tilts and rotates smoothly, making framing shots a breeze in almost any situation.

I have a few Sony and Nikon cameras that I use for personal projects and some editorial assignments that I still do. What can I say except there is really nothing I don’t like about this camera. It’s a winner all around and joined into my workflow without a glitch. Im looking forward to testing all the new features and expect it to be a workhorse. I particularly like the touch screen tracking, just fantastic. FIVE STARS for the a7iv!

Ridiculously versatile camera! Easy to customize buttons and menus make adjusting in the fly incredibly easy. Love the versatility of the dual memory card slots even though the one is a less popular type of memory. When paired with the 24-70 2.8 GM I was able to take some of my best photos and videos to date! The firmware update process is a little arduous but not the worst. Battery lasts a good while but I’ve had to swap to a spare on longer shoots.

The menu is different but has the same info and then some, stil haven't gotten to all of the functionality yet BUT loving it so far, the lock on tracking is soooo much better than my a7riii and the low light capabilities are still amazing. The shutter button feel is a favorite (as silly as that sounds if you get it you know what I mean) I realllllly want the a7v but didn’t want to wait any more as the release keeps getting pushed back. Adding a shot from one of my first sessions with it.

A great camera. Perfect for street photography, professional shoots and lots more. Better than the previous model, nearly as good as the newer model. Highly recommend recommended

I do landscape photography and lately I have been printing 24x36 pictures for a company, and , the quality and sharpness of the this camera is amazing. I also do video once in a while, and I love how easy is to use this camera. It is one of the best cameras on the market.

One of the best cameras out today. Even tho it’s 5 years old.
