Limited power and range, but spreads the music

The speakers are easy to pair or sync with the wireless head unit, and it is nice to be able to just unplug and move my music to other rooms. These are great for placing around a card table, in the kitchen while cooking, or in the bathroom. They don't make enough volume for outdoor speakers IMO. Another nice feature is the ability to listen to what is on the head unit OR listen to the tuner while the head unit is off or being used with a different source. Down side about these is that they have a short range and are lacking power and lows.

Just what I needed to expand my S-Air system

It was just what I needed to expand my S-Air system into my kitchen. It paired with my Sony soundbar with no problems, so I can listen to my music. My Altus speakers are over 60 feet away from my music source with no interuptions or distortion. Only complaint is the sound could be a little bit better especially the bass.

Terrible purchase. They eventually give out and start sounding like the utmost poo, similair to what your speakers would sound like if you played em on full blaslt for 5 years and have been abused is what you get after like 2 weeks of just casually playing background music with these. I liked them until they did that but even the day I bought them I noticed the sound was so low it's hard to really hear. Great Idea but terrible Quality.. My only justification for why sony would do something like this is to mimic Steve Jobs idea of progressive improvement release like with ipods n iphones but these cost too much to get a Strunz product.

Horrible product that obviously went through zero testing. The sound breaks every few seconds, sometimes for minutes before you hear sound again. I live in a 700sq ft studio, so I can only imagine how annoying these would be in a standard home. When I called sony they said, "do you have other wireless products?" And I told them yes, I have wifi, and a laptop that uses the wifi. They told me this was the problem and if I turned the wifi off it would fix the problem. They said "Wifi signals will scrable the S-Air signal" I mean we are in the 21st century WiFi is everywhere, what is Sony thinking.

Setup was easy. I have the sender in my home office, and the speakers in my kitchen. I can now listen to all of my iTunes content and Pandora in the kitchen. Sound is great. I am thinking about getting additional speakers for other rooms in the house.

    great speakers to start with

The speakers sound great and plug right in to a wall outlet so there are absolutly no wires. To enhance sound quality, purchase other sets of speakers like the sub for bass. I currently have a sub, two wall speakers, and an ipod dock speaker and am amazed at the sound quality. Quality has not diminished for me over time, and I have had absolutely no interference with other wireless products.

This is a discontunied item from Sony that went with the iPod player we purchased in 2010. Strange that Sony would discontine an excellent product. Thanks to your wonder people in the Hurst Store near Northeast Mall they where able to locate this item. Strange they had two at the North Arlington store but when I checked with them at least a week prior they stated they did not have any and did not have any of the product for over a year. The Hurst store asked that they hold one and I picked it up the next day. The speakers are great and have a long range.
