Love this camera in almost every situation except at a music recital in which the footage was pretty much unusable.

The best, this product is awesome and good in all forms.

Bought this for kids sporting events and it delivered all the action.

Camcorder is very good. Only problem i had was it is little heavy to hold for a long time

Sony released this camcorder in 2013 and it sells for just about as much as it did when it was released. It's capabilities are about as high as a prosumer camcorder would go these days which doesn't say much for Sony or camcorders.

Returned. Needed the bigger zoom and better low light features of the AX 53. Steady shot feature was so so.

This is a great camcorder. It’s small and sharp. I’m new to capturing video but there’s plenty of basic tutorials to get you started on the settings you would prefer.

Went into the store shopping for a Mophie case, walked out with this beauty instead (Got the mophie the following week) 4K is still in its infancy and will not be a fad, like 3D sadly was, I still use it. 4K is being used as a marketing selling point now, which I personally cant stand, because 4K is actually just the next generation of resolution monitors. All the marketing and hype behind it, in my opinion, is actually hurting its progress more than helping because the average consumer will initially think is just another "marketing" selling point just like 3D came and went faster than anyone could say Avatar 2. For those who already have the new GoPro Hero 4 Black edition who think they are already there, that camera doesn't even compare to the quality that this one pushes. I've owned the Black edition for some months, and although I do enjoy it's quality but above all, it's portability, this Sony Handycam will now be my go-to camera for almost all video occasions. I now plan on using the GoPro as a back up or alternate angle view, or for some POV shots of my son playing with his toys. We still have not invested in a 4K TV, I am personally waiting for the 10 bit televisions to become the next standard, so far the only 10 bit decent tv is the 9500 series that Samsung sells I think, which is a curved monitor, which I am not a fan of by the way. Once that model releases a flat version I will jump on it during a sale unless LG begins to drop the price of it's OLED television which is awesome by the way. I digress though, you will not be disappointed with this camera, and if you don't have any plans on purchasing a 4K TV at all and think that this camera will be of no use to you then think again, the 1080p video this little beast records is some of the best I have ever seen and it can shoot it at 60 fps.

I purchased this video camera just in time for the school award ceremonies for my 11 and 9 years and our east coast vacation. The video camera is very easy to use. I could not be more pleased with the HD quality of the video which is outstanding! The audio is good but could be improved to match the video. Overall, excellent value for the Sony HD Camera!

A great price for a camera with this capability. Weave used this unit for weddings and race track events for our business, and each time the end product has been amazing. Nothing bad to say about this unit except buy extra batteries if you wish to use commercially. Also, you can find the prices lower online so ask for a price match.

I have owned three of these since 2014 and I often do multicamera live concerts videoshoots and now livestreams as well.. They are good quality when you have great lighting...With concert lighting often heavy blues and reds and not enough white it's not the greatest...Would be nice to have a way to turn down saturation! They have been solid performers with several of the cams with hundreds of hours on them and still work perfectly.

Battery Life Is Standard Though. Shoe Accepts Lighting or An External Microphone. Takes Astute Jpeg Stills As Well.

I bought this camcorder two weeks ago and was immediately impressed. The amount of detail it captures is amazing! After trying it out for about 2 hours, I immediately put my 3 year old Sony HD camcorder up for sale.

Just purchased this item, but am looking forward to capturing some amazing footage due to it's lightweight and size, I can take it just about anywhere.

Needed a camcorder with a great viewfinder due to lots of outdoor shooting in strong sunlight. Very clear using the color viewfinder. Very much looking forward to using it more and experimenting with the many features.
