This is no ordinary camcorder. The camcorder is not only for beginners but for experts as well. I really enjoyed the hands on features with the zoom and focus options.

This camera is not for professionals, this is for the dad that wants 4k of his kids soccer game. Not impressed, but I shoot video for a living. If your not a pro it's a good camera to start shooting 4k, for 2 thousand dollars it should have some XLR inputs.

A wonderful camera, great pictures. Never before seen this quality pictures from a small camcorder. Takes some studying to operate properly, but well worth it.

This camera is where it's at when it comes to 4K. Definitely worth it if you're in the market for 4K.

I compared the ax33 and ax100 and choose to just spring for the ax100 and I'm very happy with the evening/dusk ability to record in great quality.

We are using it to record the building of our new house. Although it has 4K recording features, we are using the HD mode because we haven't yet purchased a 4K TV. Maybe we will buy one when the house is built. Camera has all the features an occasional user would want. Have a Canon GL2 purchased in 2002 for which I paid about $3K when that was real money but the technology has passed it by.

used this for a recent vacation and the video it produces is stunning and would highly reccomend

The image\video quality is excellent. I use this for documentaries and short films.

Video quality is Pro++ Easy to use. If you don't have 4k tv just change the record quality setting to 1080 and video is still awesome

I have purchased a continuous series of Sony digital cameras, starting with the first camera to record on floppy disks, through the model that recorded on mini-CDs, and then the HD handycams. Within the past two years I have purchased both the HDRCX900 and the FDRAX100. I love all of my cameras. All are still functioning well, although I now only use the CX900 and the AX100. An interesting thing about all of the Sony cameras I have had so far is that, even when they are dropped multiple times (sometimes on cement), they still work without any problems. The Sony AX100 allows you to record HD, XAVCHD or 4K videos. I have recorded in all formats, and the quality is exceptional in each one. Once again, I am very pleased with Sony for creating such high quality cameras at reasonably affordable prices.

The camera seems solid built, but when hand is in holding strap on camera, somewhat difficult to keep thumb placed on record button. Great pic. in HD and even better in 4K, but in 4K it is choppy or not clear when panning, even slowly. Manual stated a video cable (not supplied) from the multi connection to RCA connections could be used to revert video back to standard to transfer to DVD. I cannot find such a cable anywhere.

This is an excellent prosumer device. Unfortunately, I returned mine as it appeared to be a return. This is one thing I dislike about having to order/ship products...you can't pick a fresh box. It was more than I really needed so that was the other reason for return, although I probably would have kept it if the box didn't appear to be returned.

The sony takes one of the best picture quality videos by far.

I love this camera and would recommend this to anyone looking for a 4K camera with almost all the bells and whistles. Excellent battery capacity and glad that it came with the remote.

I purchased this HD camera just before the year end award ceremonies for my children in elementary school and subsequent east coast vacation. The vivid and crisp images really shined thru as we visited Independence Hall in Philly, the Capitol and Whitehouse in D.C. abd the Niagara Falls and downtown Manhattan in New York

Pro level video. Lots of manual setting as well as auto for those with less experience. True 4K for just a little more change than the much smaller video cameras.
