I skydive, dirt bike, snowboard, wakeboard & dive. Was planning on buying a go pro but wasn't happy with mounting options (it's bulky). Found the Sony, its been perfect! Comparable video in a smaller unit. Spend the extra $$ & get the wrist remote!

I love it it is as good as a GoPro 3 for a action camera. Better because of the video screen you can where and control sound quality better on the Sony underwater adventure is usd the GoPro 2 or 3. Song was weak on this part.

Great camera. Small profile easy to carry and very lightweight. Only wish the bled was back lit and had a underwater housing with a flat lens like it's big brother. Also wish it could record while charging and have an easy access for charging with the protective case on. Other than that it is an awesome piece of equipment and would recommend it highly.

However, the camera is so simple, it is impossible to use effectively. It supposedly connects to your phone to control video, or if u bought the wrist band. I finally after 2 hours was able to get it connect.....sometimes.....to my phone. I still have not been able to connect it to the included wrist band after hours of trying. The directions are a joke and the online videos...well, like i said it is still not connecting to the included wrist band. Camera takes great videos like i said...wish i bought i go pro. I probably will not even use this device.

This camera take very nice video. I have mounted it on a small plane and the IS has worked rather well. The camera is small. The battery life is pretty short - 40 minutes or so. However the camera is not expensive compared to the OTHER brand and the results are equally as good if not slightly better.

I've only used this camera a few hours. So far the camera does a great job recording my bike rides. Only wish the battery would last longer. Image stabilization is pretty good; color is good; resolution is pretty good. Love being able to use the camera from my android phone!

This camera was a great addition to packing list for my cruise. I'm no expert and being a novice at this, I was able to use it almost everywhere. Setup was fairly easy once I decided to slow down and actually follow the directions. The remote screen was a plus along with being able to use it with my phone or tablet. I didn't even get to say "I wish I had gotten that on camera!" But I did hear "you didn't record that did you!?" Under water feature was fun and editing it on the Sony app was fantastic. Still photos came out great too. The colors were amazing. Bottom line I had a great time using this camera and I'm looking forward to using it for my grandson's epic moments! (He's six, I'm sure there will be many)

I have not owned a GoPro so I cannot compare. I bought this because it is splash proof and comes with a waterproof case. The video and photo quality is amazing. Crystal clear. It is really light and tiny. I bought a second battery. You get about an hour of video from the battery. The Bluetooth sync with the armband display works well, but to be honest, I tend to use my iPhone because of the larger screen.

I loved this camera ! Great size, color and easy to use. Only down side of it is the battery life really sucks. Overall it came in handy in my trip !

I have several goPros and liked the idea and size of this cam for side mounted helmet cam the video quality is good but not GoPro quality I like the wrist remote if your looking based on price this cam will do otherwise GoPro is still the way to go

The camera works great but had to go to youtube for help getting it synced to the remote because the paper instructions were no help. The resolution of video is high and the camera does a good job with stabilizing images and smoothing out bumps and rapid movement while shooting. This was an open box purchase so at 50% off it was a great value. After using/seeing it in action I would consider paying full price. Memory card is not included, make sure it's an sdxc.

Love the size and functionality this product is very limited on accessories but you can't find knock off items on Amazon and eBay where all the accessories for go pro will work with this camera Picture quality and choppiness is not as favorable as I hoped it would be The new go Pro's are definitely better quality but you'll pay a couple hundred dollars more for that this camera is definitely more streamlined and compact it looks much more professional than the cheap looking go pro also none of the salesman at Best Buy know anything about this camera so you're on your own leave it up to YouTube to figure it out for you

My grandson asked for a GoPro but I did my research and found the Sony has 2 mics for better audio quality. Mounts just as easy as GoPro with a waterproof case a many accessories. Video quality is outstanding. He really loves it and his friends with GoPros are jealous!

Very nice little camera, having the remote control and image is very handy. I am very pleased with the video and audio quality.

first action camera I ever owned. Easy to record. Straight forward controls. Have not tried it under water yet. Great quality even in normal video recording mode. Easy to transfer files to my personal cloud.

I do motorcycling and was surprised with the stabilty sensor. Great option if you are deciding wether gopro or sony. The bandwrist is awesome,you just shoot from distance and dont have to guess if well focused. You record what you see.. I would give 5 stars BUT the BIG minus... battery runs out about in 30 min. Its really a shame, it should be up and running all day. All other stuff.. GREAT!

I mostly use it to record action on baseball and softball fields for the kids. It is also very good to attach to most items with separately sold attachments and control remotely with you cell or proprietary wrist remote. I find the app on the cell has a quicker response than the wrist remote. Would suggest and recommend this over paying more for the Gop.... Unless you plan on using it deep underwater as the action cam is limited in that area. Yes, it is still good enough with more than 12ft depth with most pools not deeper than 6-8 feet. On the wish is is a longer lasting battery as the only ones available last on 2hr but not really more like 1.5hrs and last but not least a separate battery charger. The only way to charge the battery is by the camera itself. Once a batter dies you need a backup or 2 to ensure you get the footage throughout your outing.

Tiny with great resolution. Much better than the clunky Go Pro. Only bad is that the instructions are a bit unclear, especially about connecting the camera and the wrist remote via Bluetooth.

What can I say when I see Pro Skater Tony Hawk as a spokesman for the product. I like the compact size and the remote. I plan on using this on my son's lacrosse helmet during practice. That way he can see what he can try to do to improve his visibility and shot angles during an actual game. Additionally this will work great for our off-road biking and snowboard adventures. Looking forward to hitting the water with it as well. Only drawback was limited selection of accessories so I hope there will be more to come.

Initially wanted to buy the camera to film my kids swimming with the turtles, hence, needed it to be waterproof. Little did I know that it has great video quality, takes pictures, stabilizes images and video, is very easy to handle and straightforward to download and transfer files. Love it and thanks to this camera, my kids will have their memory of swimming with the turtles.
