My old DVD player bit the dust, so we were looking for something cheap to replace it. This player fit the bill and much more! Very reasonable price for a very well performing DVD player that is small and efficient. Blu-Ray DVD's are absolutely gorgeous. Space saving, inexpensive and works beautifully! Would highly recommend it.

So far we've only used to play blu-rays but it does that job very well. It was easy to set up and connect to wireless router. It's preloaded with all the various entertainment apps we use - Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu - although we haven't used it for any of those yet since I'm already used to navigation on the Amazon Fire Stick.

We were looking for a Blu-ray player that played not only Netflix but also Amazon Prime. The salesman pointed out this player, which had good ratings from my prior review, and was also on sale and a great price. So far no problems at all, does not freeze up like my old Blu-ray player had been. Very happy with this purchase.

Yes it has streaming Wi-Fi as other products do. Yes you can get Netflix, Hulu and other such services. Yes it plays regular DVDs as well as Blu-ray. And yes it is highly rated with great reviews. It's also a great price. Happy with this purchase.

I brought it home, plugged it in, hooked it up to my TV via the HDMI port. Got right on the setup and followed all of the instructions and BANG worked like a charm. My spouse is extremely happy and she is impressed by how easy it is to operate. She LOVE's the Netflix button on the control! So far all is awesome.

I replaced a failing Blu-ray player with this one. A big plus was the ability to add and customize online services, including Amazon Prime which my previous player did not support. Easy setup to my wired network (did not need the wireless feature) and it has performed flawlessly! Would not hesitate to recommend!

We ordered this dvd player for our bedroom due to the wifi availability. So far it has been great and the streaming content/apps are great and offer a lot to choose from. We have an LG hard wired network DVD player that does not offer nearly as many apps or streaming options as this one. The size of it is great too and fits well on top of our cable box.

This unit was very easy to set up. You have to buy the HDMI cable so make sure you ask for it. I had it up and running in minutes. The remote and functions are easy to work as well. I haven't had trouble with DVDs or accessing my apps. The picture quality is great. Overall very happy with this purchase.

This player exceeded my expectations since the price was very reasonable. A Best Buy associate recommended this unit and I took his advice and made the purchase. The format and performance is really outstanding and exceeds two other brand players I own. In my opinion Sony stands for quality!

This is a very small player and for the price you pay it's worth it. Be sure you already have an HDMI cable though because it DOESN'T come with one. The remote is also very small which can be a downside because it is then easier to misplace. This player offers many streaming capabilities including streaming from playstation consoles.

small, compact, lots of apps and good price for a BRP

I like the Sony Blue Ray Disc/DVD player because it is easy to connect to my television and had minimal set up. The size of the box is much smaller than other ones I have owned in the past. The quality is great.

Blu-rays look great, upscaled DVDs look great as well. The streaming functions are easy to navigate and works perfectly. Was streaming Netflix through my Wii and it was awful. This is so much better. It's very small and very light but you can't beat the $70 price tag!

This compact unit performs well. It has the built-in Wi-Fi and is able to save the apps you use most under favorites. I was looking for a player that would stream Netflix as well as the WWE Network. This delivered. It also has the Netflix button built into the remote which is a nice feature I have now become accustomed to.

While being one of the most popular blu-ray player brands, Sony has been knocked for their lack of processing speed and features. While that was an initial deterrent several years ago when I bought my first blu-ray player, I still went with Sony as one of my trusted brands. The reviews were right, the player was loud, slow, and had a weird interface. However, I purchased this player for our living room a month ago and moved the older blu-ray player into another room. I am impressed with the improvements in all of the negatives of my other player. This player is fast, has great wi-fi connectivity, a better interface, and I can't hear it starting up. (the older one can sound like a plane taking off when loading). So kudos for Sony in the progress they've made in their players. I would recommend this player for anyone who is looking for an affordable wi-fi enabled blu-ray player.

This Sony Blu-ray player is small and thin. It has all of the most popular apps and it works great. I have had mine for about three months and haven't had any problems with the performance or the wi-fi connectivity. Overall a very good value for the money!

I had problems with the Samsung player I bought in May and no one had any answers for the issue. This Sony player has worked great with no problems and set up was a breeze. I really enjoy the various apps that you get also. This mawmaw is a happy camper! Will purchase Sony products in the future.

For under $100.00 this is a good bluray player for watching bluray /DVDs and for streaming movies on services like Vudu or Netflix. It is not the quality of Oppo players but then again Oppo does not cost $100.00. For general everyday use in a second bedroom this player works just fine.

We really only have need of a conventional DVD player. We don't play many Blu-ray discs, and as subscribers to Verizon FiOS, we have little need for streaming services, so those functionalities are still entirely untested. However, with the price differential so small, I did want a unit that included those features for the day when nothing but Blu-ray is available, etc. In any case, as a DVD-player, the unit works fine, it's simple to use, and the unit has a very small physical profile, so it can fit anywhere. I also own an earlier model of this unit which has been working flawlessly for the past 3 years, so I'm expecting that one can still depend on Sony's reputation for reliability. The only disappointment was that while the unit was on sale, I found it a few days later at another vendor for $10.00 cheaper . Luckily, I have a price protection plan on my credit card, so I was able to get a refund on the difference, but they don't refund the additional tax I had to pay.
