This player works exactly as I would expect. It was easy to setup and is very compact. The wifi features on it are useful and pretty awesome though not completely necessary. It is quite nice since I don't have a smart tv currently.

I was looking for a replacement for my blu ray player that quit recognizing blu ray discs. I wanted something basic at a good price. I picked this one over the equivalent Samsung based on reviews of both. The turn-off for the Samsung was the fact that there was no indicator on the machine that told whether the power was on or off. I was a little surprised at the size of the machine as I am use to a much larger machine. The price was good with the Best Buy price match. The setup was easy and the machine works fine. The one thing I do miss is having more display information on the machine, i.e. time location and scene number of the movie. You have push the display button on the remote to see the information on the screen if you want to know it.

This is my 3rd bluray player and the cheapest one that I have bought. it is packed full of features and its video streaming is excellent. If I needed another one I would by another one. Best player on the market for the price.

It works fine. The picture is good. It's very compact. Set up was easy. But.... I'm used to most devices coming with cables to connect it. This came with none and that was not spelled out on the box. So I had to order an HDMI cable and wait for that to arrive to set it up. So that was additional cost. Most devices have the transformer built into the device. This one comes with an external transformer/power supply, like a lot of smaller electronic devices. The problem is, my power strip could not accommodate something that large, so I also had to order a different power strip/surge protector. That was also additional cost. So my inexpensive DVD player turned out not to be so inexpensive after all. And I could not enjoy it immediately.

15 years ago I had purchased a Pioneer DVD player. It is near its life end after thousands of DVD's being played in it. Cant complain. I have a SONY component size in living room that has played DVD's and Blue Rays for 10 years. This item purchased is SMALL easy to use, controls with no problem good qulaity QUICK boot up from power on, simple AC power and HDMI connections and you are up and running, Please DO THE Software / Firmware update as soon as you connect it to your WiFi. (helps if your router has prioritization of IP address, list the SONY as a streaming device and you will have rocket fast Netflix and Hulu etc). Nice small unit small footprint. Less than a 100 bucks and well worth the features. Cheap enough to replace. And best of all "ITS A SONY"

I picked this up for my gal and installed it at her place. Programming the remote was pretty easy (I am a tech guy though so...), and setting it up went fast. They haven't had a single issue with it yet. They use it for BluRays, DVDs, and streaming Netflix mostly.

I have one similar to this that is about a few years old, this one is nice and compact, has a lot of apps already installed the WiFi works good and the video quality is good while streaming and playing bluerays.

Compared to DVD/Blu Ray players of the past, this unit is so small you question why they were ever so large. Very compact, great picture quality, ease of use.

I bought this device to be able to play standard or blu-ray dvd's. It is very compact so it takes up little space in my entertainment area. The hook-up was easy to do and the system set-up was easy too. Playing the unit is easy and I think will get easier when I format the dvd remote to my tv so I won't need to use both remotes. I've only had the unit for about three weeks but it has performed exactly as it should, no problems. Note, the required HDMI cable is not included.

Purchased this product for my daughter, her blue ray player had quit on her. The quality of Sony blue ray player is best quality. The price was reasonable. My daughter loves the delivery of this player.

This player is compact and easy to use. Set up is quick and apps are easy to install. Up scaling of DVD is acceptable. Picture quality as a whole is superb. Overall I would recommend this product

I purchase 2 of these blue-ray players. They are surprisingly tiny. Perfect for my children's rooms. They have all the apps like Netflix, Pandora, etc... Already available. Very easy to operate.

This DVD player gives a clear picture on my Samsung LED. The player works smoothly and fast. It is a great price and is does not take up much space. Very easy to use. Thumbs up!

Excellent device, easy to setup and connect to my home Wi-Fi. Within 15 minutes of arriving home after the purchase I was online to Netflix. A much less expansive way to go than cable or satellite..

My Sony blue ray player was easy to set up. I like the fact that it is wifi. It comes with a lot of channels I would not even had known existed. The picture quality is very good as well.

I did my research before picking this model. The size of a medium size book, it fits nicely in my little storage that is available. One button for netflix means my grandmother loves it too!

My old DVD player stunk. This Blu-ray player works like a charm. No having to press multiple times to get a function to work -- works the first time every time. Also, very easy setup.

I have really enjoyed my Blu-Ray. It had awesome picture, so clear & crisps. The apps like netflix areawesome. I dont have to find my tablet anymore and it streams seemlessly with my wifi!

I typically buy Sony products because they are innovative, high quality, and long lasting. I bought the Sony BDP-S3500 to replace my Sony BDP-S570 because the Wi-Fi technology in the S3500 is more advanced and eliminates the constant reloads when streaming Netflix or Amazon Instant Video. I also like the small size of the S3500. It's simply amazing what Sony can build into a small box.

The player is very small so it only takes up a small amount of space on the TV stand. Picture looks good. Easy to control. I have not used any of the apps yet since my TV has them all.
