This is the first lcd television I've purchased. I LOVE IT! The picture is beautiful--clear, bright, and colorful--the setup was easy, and the operation is simple to follow from the remote and television guides. The only problem I've had is operator related--how to link my remote to Directv and other devices.

A solid performer that is out of this world compared to my first gen samsung player. No regrets; Its nice to watch a 4k upscaled-BlueRay based movie with out freezing and such a good value with $99 BestBuy sale pricing. I'm not brand loyal but could be if this Sony player continues to perform as expected.

Remote should light up. Player is very small, which is good if you have limited space, but I would prefer a normal size unit that would match up to other electronics in size (cable box HDR) so they can stack on top of each other better. No controls on unit, so if you lose remote, you can not use player. Also no display on player.

I have this player about a month now. 1. 4k upscaling is awesome. 2. Youtube some reason won't upscaling to. 4k or need to find 4k videos. 3. I have a Sony PS3, Both remotes turn on both players on, so I had to unplug one of them to use a player. So I suggest to get a Sumsang 4k upscaling Blu-ray player.

I do find some cable changes can be sluggish or it does that funny pause thing but I think it's more the cable and not the tv. The picture for the most part is wonderfully crisp an clear. The apps are great but I do have trouble loading & viewing Facebook and resetting Pandora. Great for the money.

This was really easy to setup and although we have been watching blu-rays for awhile now, this player really stepped up the quality of what we have been previously viewing. Great purchase! Also easy to access the apps, and there are a lot!

Bought this player because of the discount and its really good. Has built in apps and will update firmware. The 4k upscale is great.

For the price? You can't go wrong with this upscaling 4K Blu-Ray player, very easy to setup and use. Although I'm a big fan of the "Optical" output for surround sound. These days its becoming rare on most players and this is just another one of them. So the "component" type digital out will do.

I got this player because my smart Samsung player went out and it never was able to connect to the internet or Netflix. This player does everything it promises to do and more. I am a happy camper. It replaces my Kindle Fire stick because it has everything the stick had and more. Best player yet.

This is an absolutely great Blu-ray player. It even improved the picture on my 6 year old 42" LCD. I can't wait to get a new TV this fall. The menu is easy to navigate, and mistakes by my 5 year old, are easily fixed.

This is a nice little Blu Ray player. It's much smaller than my old Blu Ray and offers more features. It offers 3D and 4K upscaling. The picture is very sharp. Good for the price and for what I need. I read a lot of positive reviews on Best Buy before I purchased.

Great picture quality. Setup can be a little time consuming if you dive deep into the setup Menu and want to tweak a lot of parameters. If not, it works just fine out of the box. WiFi eyed is only 802.11n (not 802.11ac) but still does streMing nicely over the Internet.

I bought this unit to replace an old Samsung BR player, and to get the 4K and 3D features too. This unit is much faster to boot up, there isn't any lag between chapters or functions, the picture quality is awesome, and this thing is tiny! Definitely a great buy!

Excellent picture and easy to operate features. Automatically turns off when not in operation to save energy.

I was in the market for a new Blu-ray player to replace my old Samsung one. I have a Sony portable Blu-ray player that I got a few years ago and liked how it performed so I thought I'd go for another Sony player. I haven't been disappointed! From the apps to the great picture quality, it's almost everything that I wanted. The only disappointment was that the player does not have a digital optical out for sound. I prefer that over a coaxial out but that's a personal preference. If you're looking for a Blu-ray player, you won't go wrong with this one!

This Blu Ray player is an incredible deal. For less than $80 it has an incredible amount of features. Excellent sound and video quality. Very easy set up

Very happy with this Blu-Ray player, easy setup, good quality, upscales to 4K well, compatible with any system (I have Samsung TV and surround sound systems).

This is an excellent match for my current 4K TV, and with the 4K up-scaling makes the Blu-Ray material look even better. So far, streaming using the WiFi link to my network has also proven more reliable as well than my older Sony player unit, which had frequent slow-downs and drop-outs using WiFi, so I may not need to use the direct Ethernet cable connection I have available. Now, if the TV manufacturers would just get-on-the-ball and provide some reasonably priced 3D 4K units so I can use that feature of the player as well. I bought this player with eventually upgrading the much bigger set in the living-room in mind, but I'm waiting for the 3D 4K option with better choices of sets.

Not much to say...it plays movies in HD and 3D. Quality seems pretty good. Connected easily to my new Samsung SUHD TV. Went with Sony because I read negative reviews on the Samsung equivalent. No complaints so far...but also nothing special about it, which is why it is 4 stars.
