    Sony 10R

I think the reviews are all these type of headsets are grouped together, so this one's about the 10R. Well the good is that they are super comfortable and look great! They go around the ear without feeling too big. They sound pretty natural to me but they've got a weird reverb effect going on which reminds me of listening to music in a bathroom. It sounds very bland like the notes are mashing into each other. Sony makes some great sounding headsets but these sadly just aren't one of them.

Overall these are inexpensive headphones that do the job in the plane and office. The only issues I noticed is that its not very bass heavy and looks somewhat cheaply made. However with the

Basic headphones without much sound quality

Now initially the headset has a very clean and sharp look. They are over the ear in headphones that feel just as good as they look. I've used very few other headphones that were as comfortable as these. It's got a built in mic that allows you to answer phone calls if you plan on synching it to your phone and you receive an incoming phone call while you're using the headphones. One of the neatest features about the headphones is the inclusion of built in navigation controls that are located on the headset itself. It is super handy not to have to grab your device out of your pocket and to just be able to reach up to one of the ear cups and hit the toggle to go back and forth between your music. Maybe I have a misunderstanding of what a $200.00 headset is supposed to sound like or I was expecting too much but these headphones sound extremely flat to me. I feel like you really pay for the wireless connectivity and the Sony name but they just weren't up to par with what I thought they should have been for the price. Excellent set if you're not too concerned with the sound of the audio that you're going to get from them. However if you're at all picky about the way that your music sounds then you're going to be disappointed.

I got these on sale and let me say they were worth it. Noise Cancellation is amazing and so is sound quality. It's portable as well.Better than Beats as well!

    Very disappointed...

For $200, I was expecting to be very happy with my purchase; unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The highs and mids are good, but I had to turn my phone all the way up to hear my music (and I don't like my music super loud#. The bass... there was none. My iphone 5 earbuds have more bass! I returned these headphones, and got the PS3 Pulse Elite, which are MUCH better, AND $50 cheaper. They have a really cool bass vibration #which you can turn off if you don't want bass), and the highs and mids are good as well. But the MDR-10Rs should be sold at $49.99 at the most! They were comfortable though.

Good headphone but it would be great if...

I enjoyed the headphones due to its stylish looks, comfort, *nice sound (not great), and easy navigational controls; however, I had trouble connecting the Bluetooth with other devices. I could not connect with my Galaxy tab 8.0, Ipad 2nd gen, my Macbookpro, and my Windows 8 computer I built. It only connected with my Galaxy Note II smartphone. I thought I was going to enjoy this new product, but I guess not. It also scratches and dings very easily around the gunmetal colored arm for the muffs, so I would advise to be careful how you set this done. I will give it a little more time troubleshooting, but it looks like I will have to try out the Bose Ae2w if this persist any further.

Not good Enough For The Price

So I bought these headphones to help make my commutes easier. I thought the audio was pretty lousy for the price, but I thought it was nice to get the ANR. Let me tell you... the ANR doesn't work very well at all. A friend let me borrow his Bose QC15's and I was blow away by how much quieter, more comfortable and how much better the sound was. Now, I'm no Bose fan at all. I don't even own any of their products. But I must admit I was very disappointing with my Sony headset after trying them. What gets me even more is that it would not have been that much more to get the QC15s. Oh well. I think I may put my Sony's up for sale and get some others. Really though, they aren't much better if at all than my $20 no name earbuds.

Muddy audio even after 20+ hours burn in

I purchased these about a week ago and they have been through a few different genres of music and also used for online gameplay and chat with my PS4. I knew these headphones needed to be burned in as previous reviews stated. Out of the box, these sounds terrible, especially for the price tag. After at least 20 hours of use, I can officialy say I will be returning these. They don't sound any better than a set of Skull Candy or Beats v1 headphones. They have a very muddy/muffled sound to them. Mids are almost non existant and highs just arent powerful enough to get over the bass that these produce. I am no audiophile but I know quality when I hear it as i have owned many different headphones. Save yourself the cash and purchase the Sony MDR-1R, Sennheiser, or Bose.

    No bass

No bass.... If you like bass, then don't buy these headphones. I just got them and taking them back to the store tomorrow. Tested listening to 69 Boyz and the bass was non-existent. The speaders actually rattled a little bit. Unacceptable Sony.
