Debated this purchase for several weeks and finally decided on the 48" Sony Bravia. (Was also considering a Vizio and Samsung...but all the positive reviews lead me to select the Sony). This tv was easy to setup and connected to the internet in no time at all. 1080P programs and BluRays look amazing! I also like the fact that this tv weights only about 27 lbs...my previous plasma was over 75 lbs. The viewing angle seems fine. I have seem some negative comments about that but I haven't noticed any color issues when viewing from the side...that that may depend on your living room size however. My only gripe would be the sound is a bit hit or miss depending on what you are watching...though it is still better than my previous tv. I may invest in a sound bar in the future.

I read these reviews but make my own decisions, it is after all my money being spent. Most of the reviews were positive,and rightly so. this is a superior tv in every way but one,hence it is one star shy of perfect. The picture is outstanding,best i have seen save 4k models,and can be adjusted easily to personal taste. Sound quite good,ease of use and remote are excellant. The only problem i have is with the Smart,it is not. i knew this from all the reviews and C net and engadget. as this unit is a 2014 intro model,design of which began previous to that year.Turns out i choose to not be concerned about this,as my i phone, i pad, and laptop are there to use. Sony has addressed the smart with its c models, but i still got this one based on sale price of 469 on a one day sale of Deal of the day. I am glad i did and would say to those who maybe are still waiting to consider the cost/benefit :THIS IS AN EXCELLENT T V AT A REASONABLE PRICE!!!!!

Have had this TV about 30 days now and I am enjoying the purchase. It was easy to set up, the picture quality is top notch and the sound is great. I read many of the online reviews before deciding on this brand and model; in the end, my experience as a previous owner of a Sony TV lead me to purchase another Sony. This purchase was to replace a Samsung that was 6 years old and had experienced a failure of the on/off switch, common to that model so I was not inclined to purchase another Samsung. Now, I have two Sony TVs and I'm a happy consumer.

We love our new Sony smart tv. Picture quality is very good. It is very easy to use and set up was a breeze. All you have to do is plug it in & answer the questions that pop up, then it is ready to go. Connecting to the sound bar was also very easy.

Very nice, lightweight tv -awesome picture. If I had any complaints it would be that the remote sensor is on the bottom of the tv (which is common) so if the tv is low/behind a soundbar for example then it's easy to block the remote sensor. Also, the tv feels a bit slow when switching signals -like going to home menu or switching inputs. That said, the picture is excellent, fantastic colors and no lag as far as i can tell playing console games. Very very happy with this tv

I haven't explored all of the features of this tv yet but so far it is very user friendly and has beautiful picture quality. Set up was extremely simple and the tv is very light. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I will update this review once I've had it for several months. So far thumbs up.

With its larger screen, clear picture, and easy to access features, this SONY product is just what we wanted. Smart capability makes Netflix just one easy click. Easy setup and it fits perfectly into our den furniture. Highly recommend this product!

The picture and color quality is great. Sound could be better, and would suggest an added soundbar of some sort. Easy set up and easy operation. Love the netflix button on the remote control. Very light weight. All in all a solid Sony product.

The TV was incredibly light. My wife was able to take it out of the box and set it up by herself. Set up was easy and Netflix was functional in minutes. Picture is fantastic, which is why we bought this TV in the first place.

So I read some reviews on this tv and it had great reviews for an led, I'm more of a plasma guy. Anyways I didn't expect much from an led tv as they tend to look too realistic and everything you watch is like watching a soap opera. But i was quite surprise with the fluidity of the picture this tv offer. The flow motion technology sony offer on this is really good. Image doesn't look fake,motions are fluid and real, and you get the brightness and clarity of an led. For the price and quality I don't think you can go wrong. Don't get me wrong it's no samsung but it's pretty good, great even for the price.

I recently bought this tv on a Black Friday after I decided to upgrade by getting a new tv, the set up was easy to do and it took me only 10-15 min to put it together and link my Wi-Fi along with my blu ray and surround sound system. The HD picture is very sharp and the color is lifelike which is an improvement over my previous TV. Hooking it up and activating the features I wanted was quite simple.

Looked and looked for TV's for a few weeks. This was suggested to me by an employee at BestBuy over other comparably priced TV's I was going to purchase. Picture is wonderful. Smart TV options work well so far. I leave my terabyte drive attached into the usb slot and I can watch home videos at the click of a button. Was a bit concerned over the 60hz but after research, I believe due to the size it works well. Anything larger I would make sure to get 120hz. BestBuy matched the amazon price as well.

This is a 2014 model, and so the price was right on this model. Compared to the current year/series in other brands, it was hard not to pick this one up at it's price. Great clarity, and the Sony smart system is very in-depth. The only thing is that if you aren't familiar with Sony's ecosystem, or you want a smart system that you can update to the newest online channels and apps, this doesn't quite do that. The biggest knock is that it advertised coming with the NHL Center Ice App, but that no longer is supporter by the NHL and you have to use a secondary device like a ROKU/Chromecast/Etc... which defeats the purpose a little bit. It also comes with home mounts, but I bought a full motion mount for ours and it fits it well.

For the price, the picture, clarity and refresh are great. Some of the smart features are innovative and there is good app selection, but there are several obstacles leaving the smart technology feeling half-baked. For example, you can't set a sleep timer when you're in an app like Netflix. You have to back all the way out of the app, set the sleep timer, and then go back into the app. After you turn the tv on, you have to wait quite a while just to change the input. The remote is not illuminated, nor is it very intuitive and it's easy to hit a wrong button when you're trying to use the arrow buttons. Small annoyances like this add up. It's not enough to make me return it, but definitely not a frustration-free experience.

Great picture, sound and it's smart! I needed an antennae but if you have cable then nothing to worry about. I stream Netflix, pandora and my fav YouTube. This was a great purchase for a great price.

I bought this 48" 1080p TV to replace my 32" 720p. The screen is nice and it is light for such a large unit. It also has plenty of HDMI ports to connect to various. Accessories. My only issue is the wall mount. I needed to use a fully articulating arm mount. This proved a problem as my standard mounts covered the AV ports. The TV also did not mount to the center of the TV. It was offset to the bottom and I worried about the TV wanting to tilt all the time. The TV recommends a flat to the wall mount style using screws and pulleys supplied in the set. That did not work for me. I finally found a mount (not on sale of course) that I got to work. TV is great but mounting was an issue.

Excellent TV for the price. At this size, you don't need more than 1080p. The "smart" part of the TV is pretty good. A little slow in it's UI at times, but overall a great job. Connects to and plays content from my NAS based DLNA server perfectly, screen casting from my mobile is fun but not really useful to me. Lots of apps that be added but most are unknown channels/apps. It all works well though. Good sound from the built-in speakers, excellent picture. Remote is fairly well organized. The stand it comes with is clean and minimalist styled.

The TV is very light and easy to install. The picture is clear and vivid and is viewable in all but direct sunlight. The Smart TV functions are handy and easily accessed. Wifi works very well.

The Smart part of the TV is great, but there is a limit on apps you can download. It's only approved Sony apps, which means no HBOGO or apps from the app store. Also the remote input of text is really slow. A remote with letters on it would be better
