So I own a Pioneer Elite Plasma $8000 TV and needed a bedroom set. Pioneer Plasma has the best blacks and contrast of any set ever made. Recently, buying a bedroom TV, I was looking for a similar picture, but in LED. I looked at Samsung and found the picture to be 'loud' with unreal colors and grey blacks. So, for a $600 48" LED, I believe that the Sony I purchased is the best and most realistic coloration and deeper blacks, if that is important to you.

I got this TV as a replacement to an old Samsung DLP. Opted to go with a smart TV and put my Roku in my bedroom. All in all, great picture, great features (doesn't have all the channel options of the Roku but has enough to keep me occupied). I live in a 2 bedroom apartment, and the size isn't obnoxiously big or small. Have to add that I got this as an open-box item which saved me a bunch of $$, definitely making it worth what I spent, otherwise I probably would've gone for a bit larger TV- going from a 55" to a 48" was a pretty significant difference. All in all, happy with the purchase and would recommend Sony to anyone looking into getting a new smart TV.

I'll start with the TV set-up... actually, less difficult than I thought and if you followed the enclosed instructions, was able to complete with ease, as advertised! The TV is unbelievably light & easy to move around for its size..48". Have owned for approximately a month and, to date, am extremely satisfied with this product. The picture is clear and realistic that it makes you feel like you are right there in the action!

I never owned a smart tv before and on a whim went to check prices around Xmas. The salesman was awesome and talked to me about how I could optimize my xbox frame rate with this particular model. He was right. I can't believe I owned that other tv for so long. Xbox suddenly looked more amazing than ever and I was honestly pleasantly surprised at how it set up easily with my apple tv - no real fuss or even settings I needed to go through, it did it all on its own once I plugged in the HDMI

Excellent picture quality. Very good sound. Very light in weight. Easy set up. Easy hookup to cable. Like most Sony products I have purchased, it seems a very solid product.

Great picture, remote is a bit slow when turning on TV, have to wait to change stations. Overall great quality, for a good price, smart tv options are easy to use

Was looking for the max size I could do under 50inches to fit a corner space. This did the trick. Apps are great so far, pic quality is great. I put some old 60s movies on Criterion Blu-ray on and the classic grain and quality was excellent. Only complaint is the remote: it is tough to press the arrow keys without sometimes accidentally hitting the hot button keys around them. Gets equally troublesome when trying to enter in UN and PWs for apps. But, we're talking just the remote here. Need to get used to it, or maybe there's a better replacement down the way.

I did some research before buying my new tv. Walmart price was $448 for this same tv and Best Buy matched it. I could not be happier with the sharpness and clarity of this tv. I'm just amazed watching programs or movies at how clear it is. Love having a NETFLEX button too. I went from a 32" (dinosaur) to this and feel like a whole new world has opened up for me! :)

My wife and I bought this TV for our living room. We already had an older ,smaller Sony Bravia that we liked so we thought we would just upgrade to newer bigger one and put the old one in the other room. The picture is amazing and it is easy to use. It is worth it.

Upgraded to this TV to accompany my new PS4. Great size and quality for the price. Love the smart link in the HDMI port, this allows me to use the TV remote to control my PS4. Easy to set up, not much adjustments needed out of the box for those who aren't tech savvy enough to change the display settings. Sound is great, I normally don't have to raise the volume past 20 (out of 100) to hear in my living room. 100% satisfied!

Well Sony does it again - a great picture and nice set. The set was easy to set-up and worked great right out of the box. Excellent color and blacks. Good remote and decent sound for a change. The only reason I just gave it 4 stars was due to the power supply. It is not built in but an external brick. I guess in a way that maybe good cause if burns out then all you have to do is get a new brick instead of a entire set but I just like everything built in and have the power supply cord to plug into the wall outlet. I mounted it to the wall using a universal mount so I can't comment on the stand that comes with the TV or Sony's wall mount.

a good tv. picture is great...setup was easy although I recommend a different mounting then the stand provided. inputs are accessable easily with multible methods for best connection

I really like the picture quality, ease of use and menus. The speakers are a little tinny, but what you would expect from small speakers. My only issue is with the design of the base, and they know its a problem. The base is so light the unit is vulnerable to tipping over, so you have to strap it down with the provided ties and not provided #6 bolts which fit the holes near bottom on the back of the unit.

I returned this TV after about a week and bought a 55" Samsung for $70 more. The Netflix app on the Sony would not allow me to login to Netflix. The most irritating part is that Sony has been promising a software fix since at least July 2015 and I bought the TV in late November. That said, the picture was great, the Smart TV feature were better than the Samsung Smart Hub (absent the glitch), there are more HDMI ports on the Sony, and the interface with my Samsung soundbar was way better than the Sony. If you want a 48" TV and don't mind the Netflix glitch, I'don't still recommend the 48" Sony over the comparably sized Samsung.

Beautiful HD picture in a slim, light weight television unit. Easy to unpack, assemble or mount and program right out of the box.

I wanted a second TV to put in the game room. This was the right price, the right size, and has a gorgeous picture! It was easy to set up and fits the bill. The one drawback--it does have a funny mounting system, not VESA compliant, but it comes with a wall mount system that allows it to be put flat against the wall. If you want to be able to mount it and turn it, you have to buy a VESA adapter for it.

Amazingly low price for a Very Nice Sony TV. Picture is great and the sound is very good in the fairly large master bedroom where we put it. It's very light weight and the power consumption is low (both less than half of the 8 year old 40" Sony this replaced). There is no manual included with it, but you can go online and download it to get set up details (muting speaker volume while controlling the audio out jack for example). Otherwise, the rest of the setup is very easy and fast.

This Sony TV has an excellent picture, low energy consumption, and is light enough for one person to move. Extensive picture customization settings. I like that the set communicates with my Sony Blu-ray player. A bit of a surprise - out of the box my set was not set for an optimum HD picture. I have been buying Sony products for many years, and have yet to regret any Sony purchase.

This TV was awesome for my bedroom wall. Great clarity of the picture. Works well with HD on cable, I had never had a smart TV and was curious how it might work. The remote as the interface is a little clunky in operation especially as you try to enter a new website. It does take the TV a while to set up once it accesses the wireless network as well. I used a wireless repeater to get a strong signal in my Master bedroom at one corner of the house. That cleared up delays in loading screens, waiting for some videos while watching them etc. All -in-all a nice TV for the price.

This is an amazing smart TV. My parents have another brand and it is really slow to open the apps and even change the channels. This one is very quick. It connects to Netflix and Amazon in a flash. The picture quality is amazing. It was such a great deal for this TV $572 with tax. Also there is a great selection of Apps. Music, games, classic TV shows and movies, cooking, fitness. Available apps for anyone's preference. I would highly recommend this TV
