take good pictures, and is compact, easy to carry.

I got this at a great price and it is better than my Nikon 7100 with the 2.8 17-50mm lense. Not as fast on the clicks or shots to press for the next picture, but just as good quality. if it could sanp pictures faster I'd use it over any 35mm. Video is great but missing the shaking.

I was looking into a different Sony camera, until I found this one open box for 282, normally 449. I loved the reviews I read and the quality of the pictures. All I needed was a screen to flip up while I vlog. But thats alright. It takes great pics of all my food(I am a vegan food blogger)

I also own a Sony Digital SLR camera and this "little" camera really holds its own! It's lightweight but provides heavyweight results. A must have for beginners or enthusiasts. The zoom capabilities could be greater for the cost of the camera, but decent non-the-less.

If you want something better than what your phone can offer but not carry around something that's going to weigh you down - then the current crop of 1" sensored camera like this RX100 should give you that upgraded image quality but not at the expense of too much weight. If you want even more, then you'll need to move up to mirrorless or DSLR.

Bought this unit as an open box display unit. Was sold at a very reasonable price given the fact that it is a 1" sensor camera.

Best quality pictures for an easy-to-use camera I have ever had. Need high quality close-up pictures for my eBay listings and this camera delivers. Saves me hours of time I used to spend taking and editing pictures. Worth every penny!

It has a lot of features haven't even used them yet, but the camera seems to shoot great far away and action shots

Picture quality is fantastic, but the camera interface isn't very intuitive. It's got a bit of a learning curve.

I had to return this camera immediately after I bought it but it was not because of the quality of the camera , which is excellent... but because I had bought it as an open item and several parts were missing. I was really disappointed... finally I ended up buying the Samsung Galaxy camera and I can not be happier with it.

At first the camera was a bit intimidating. My wife got deeper & deeper into settings that didn't allow her to get back to normal settings. A simple call to the tech hotline bailed her out in no time. Service is excellent! Jeff, the Best Buy sales rep at the East Brunswick, NJ store was excellent and very patient with us. Since it took a second to destroy our old camera by dropping it while the lens was on, we recommend opting for the extended warrantee.
