Great camera while it lasted.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera to start with, lasted just over one year. Camera would shut down way before the power saving limit was reached, followed by complete failure with the lens extended. Camera is now a paperweight that needs another $211 to repair. Had I searched some of the blogs for RX-100, I would have never purchased this camera. Funny thing, Sony did not list any known issues but I found blogs over 8 pages long about problems with this camera.

camera overheat quickly in video mode
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great camera for both video and photos. Great lowlight camera. Camera overheats quickly in video mode within 4 mins to 30 mins. I would recommend this but just be aware of the overheat issue with the camera.

Awkward & Confusing setting layout is a Hassel
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Canon T6i, but I wanted a happy medium. This is awkward..How do I hold onto it? No view finder, keeps saying image unavailable after it takes a picture. Awful in low light. Flash throws color way off. 60% wanting to return it 40% really not wanting to do more research on more cameras again . I don't like your style weird camera.

If it would work long enough& warranty was honored
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They may say differently but this camera held very poor battery life. I brought it in over 4 times and they gave me new batteries & replaced battery without telling me and said "it charges fine" but the mark I put on battery was not there. I bought the extended warranty but didn't get much but more weeks without any camera. I bought after market battery and had a couple good charges for a few months. I have a few hundred photos logged and 3 hrs video. Now this camera is dead. Doesn't matter what the lens says who makes it or optical imaging or sensor if it just dies.

WARRANTY WORTHLESS - BEWARE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera stopped working after 8 months and sent in for warranty repair. Sony claims it was damaged and voided the warranty. As an avid amateur photographer I have had no problems with previous cameras and say this is BS. The best Sony will do is replace it for $279 (they say that's generous). I will sell the new one on eBay and buy a camera from a company that stands behind their product.
