A ton of quality in a small portable camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Sony camera products. This is the third now in my arsenal. The quality of what you get here in this high quality body is fantastic. If you're familiar with Sony's menu structure this is seamless with some added tools. My only issue is that video is capped at 30 min in one shot, but that's not due to Sony, that's a video file format limit. The video quality is great but if you expect to let in run longer than 30 min you need to look elsewhere. The tilt flash works great but I've been a little surprised at some odd over saturated color results when taking shots in a repeat location with the same settings as my NEX camera. Nothing I couldn't adjust in post though.

Great Camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera! I can take professional quality shots without having the bulk of one of those other cameras. The pop up flash is a little annoying, and the menu is difficult to navigate. Otherwise, it is an amazing purchase!

A great little camera at any price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a compact camera that would give me close to the quality of pictures I am used to with my DSLR. With the RX100, I don't hesitate to leave my big equipment behind and travel lite when it is more convenient. I would have given the RX100 5 stars except for 2 things. 1) It should have come with the finger support that I had to pay an extra 14 bucks for. It makes a huge difference in holding the camera comfortably. 2) I get lines through my videos making them useless (I will be contacting Sony about this) The picture quality is outstanding. I highly recommend this camera.

Old classic but worth it even in 2020
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first generation Sony RX100 is missing a lot of the fancy features of later models such as the pop up viewfinder, swivel display, however the image quality is great. I owned the RX100 M3 for a while and this camera has very similar image quality, with a little less on the wide angle side of the zoom range but a little longer telephoto reach. It is an affordable, solid, RAW image capable camera, and I am glad to have it as a camera when I want to travel lightly.

Great point and shoot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy I bought this camera. Pictures are clear and bright. Easy to carry around and fun to use. The settings are easy to get to and to figure out. I have enjoyed learning how to take better pictures thanks to this purchase.

Best bang for your buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned many DSLRs over the years and although they have better image quality the same thing always brought them down, size. The RX100 takes amazing photos AND it is easy to take along to parties or hiking or whatever. This is replacing my Canon S90 and the image quality difference is pretty evident (though I still love my S90 too). Now that the price has dropped with the introduction of the Mark II and Mark III I wouldn't hesitate to buy this camera unless you need the hot shoe, tilt screen or EVF.

You can't go wrong with Sony
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my older Olympus XZ-1 with this Sony. So far I love the results I've gotten with this camera. The menu and shooting features arent very intuitive, but once figured out, it works very well. Love the panorama feature of this camera.

Decent camera, iPhone better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for better zoom and clarity than iPhone. While Sony is a decent performer, it is a little subpar in low light and time from click to shutter can be frustrated when target is moving (like kids). Have relegated to using iPhone except in outdoor scenic shots.

Really great camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love the quality of the images using this camera. It's a nice size, since it fits in my pocket (although a bit larger than what I'm used to). It takes pictures that are similar in quality to larger, more expensive models.
