this is a very good audio recorder that I bought to use in meetings and classes. You can use the basic feature and simply record or take advantage of the advanced features too. I opened the box and was able to use it for basic functions without having to read the instructions

This recorder will definitely do the job. However, if you are going to use it often you probably want the models for 10 to 15 dollars more that the larger display of the menu choices will make it easier to use and understand.

I bought this recorder for a class I'm taking. I love it's features! The fact that I can download my recordings into my computer is makes this recorder ideal.

As far as recorders go I'd say this one is pretty good. To be honest, though the instructions for use are a bit hard to follow and one that isn't too technical needs to play around with it for a while before you use it. Good recording sound when I managed to hit the right button to playback.

I really enjoy using this recorder. I am going to attempt to use this for a podcast. Allows for external mic if needed.

My dad got this so he can make vocal notes to remind himself of things since he is having some memory loss.

Instructions were inadequate, for me at least. Wasn't confident recording my first meeting. Basic controls were ok, but wasn't able to take advantage of advanced features. Give yourself time to play around with it and you'll be pleased. Have thought of many uses. Sure beats the old cassette recorders and better than relying on iPhone for longer, special projects.

I use Nuance DragonNaturally Speaking Premium 13 but was told that a digital recorder would not work with their software. This recorder works great. I can take a walk and when ideas hit me I use the Sony Digital Voice Recorder to help remember them. Later I download my recording as a mp3 file and run it through Dragon. It gets more than 95% of my words correct.

Good recorder, easy to use. Need to play with the setting a little more, I sit in the front of the lecture hall, and it's set to lecture but still have a hard time hearing the instructor. If you were to sit any farther back you probably wouldn't be able to hear at all. Other than that excellent product

Wonderful recorder! Purchased this recorder for my college classes. Works great. And best of all i can transfer the files to my computer for later use.

Bought this for EVP purposes and found it very useful for monitoring live while recording by using headphones.
