Excellent picture quality--a good deal. Got really good deal in open box, almost 40% discounted price.

Went on search for new camera when my DSC-H2 finally broke. I had always wanted an SLR but was not quite ready for budget wise. The DSC-HX300 appeared to be a great option as an upgrade. I was thrilled by the LCD, smart rotation of images, photo recognition timer and the 50X zooms. I obtained one on sale as an open box for a great deal. I, however, noticed the NEX F3 was also being done away with about a week after my purchase. The prices were similar but the size of the NEX F3 and the SLR quality of the alpha NEX series made me decide to go with it instead. There was some trade off in features right out the box, zoom being most pronounced and lack of an integrated viewfinder. I hope to get the zoom lens for my NEX F3 in the future.

I have always used small cameras, but for my job as a realtor I needed pictures with more quality. This camera takes great pictures and is as easy to use as the small ones. Got it with a $100,00 discount which made my purchase even better.

This isn't the most intuitive camera in our long list of Sony products but we do appreciate the quality. When you get the hang of it , this is a very cool camera.

Bought for her bday and she's now happy. Of coure there were the 1st few initial comment 'it only came in black honey' and 'hhhhmmmm the samsung has direct share to social media' but now she wants a computer to upload them too! Ahhh Best Buy knows their own products and sales tactics well. :-) in all seriousness she loves it,she thinks u don't know but she is on it constantly when I'm at work. She's new to fancy cameras so I did well.

Well i ordered this camera before they had it in the store so i wasnt able to test it before buying, but overall the quality of the videos and pictures is good. This camera is good in low light conditions.

I bought this camera on sale and for the money it it a great buy. Picture quality has been very good. I have not been able to look at videos we have shot yet.

This is the camera if you are looking for a step above point and shoot. Simple to use with easy on screen help.

Took this camera to a concert where we were in a club box seat, and taking pictures with this camera made me feel like I was right up front and they look great. I didn't even have to use the flash and the pictures look like I did! I even used the video feature and when I watched it later, I felt like I was right back at the concert. Great sound, picked up the concert and not so much the noise around me. Can't wait to start taking pictures of my boys playing Lacrosse! Takes some time to get all the features down, but I am willing to work with it so that I can have great pictures of all my kids and anything else I may want the memories of.

Love the zoom on this camera for distance shots without the hassle of changing lenses!

My plans are to use this for short filming projects. So far it has worked out perfect.

We bought this to use on a extended coastal trip. My husband isn't really a picture taking guy but he has used this over and over on our trip. Lots of pictures out the car window as we were moving. All turned out great. It's easy to learn to use, great quality pictures, takes great stills and action shots. Zoom is great for those long ocean view. I blog daily on our trips and this camera has made it very easy to journal the pictures we have taken. Love this camera.

This camera has great zoom capabilities for the price point. Menus are easy to use.

We take multiple pictures everyday with the camera and it has worked well for our use.

Excellent camera with improved features compared to previous versions I am very satisfied, the image stabilizer works very well with zoom, an item that makes all the difference and one of the main distinguishing points. Very simple to set up and if you want to use advanced features makes this camera an excellent choice due to its cost and benefit.

Very easy to learn how to use. Able to shoot great photos right out of the box.
