Without having to change & carry lenses, this camera is a good size, not too heavy but sturdy. The zoom is very powerful and has many options if you want to experiment outside of "easy" or auto mode. Color and clarity is very good and you get what you "see".

We flirted with a DSLR but she preferred a single unit with massive optical zoom capabilities. Only wish it was discounted or on sale when I bought it.
