After many years of use, we finally had to replace one of our Sony Controllers. The new one works great, holds a charge and was an excellent purchase. We trust we will get as many years out of it as we did our expired one.

This controller is not the same quality or make as the one that comes with the PS3 unit. I've heard that manufacturers included better quality controllers/units as part of the set and standalone products aren't quite up to the same standard. The controller works fine, but feels a bit less hefty than the one that came with the unit. Don't know how long it'll last but has been good so far!
