I needed a simple DVD player that was compatible with today's technology. This DVD player fits my need. I was very surprised in how small the whole unit is, fits perfectly under my tv. Plus a price that can't be beat.

A replacement for an older model. It plays the DVD's nicely. I would, have liked the lights to have been a little larger, it is hard to tell if it is on from a distance. The open /close buttons on the set could be a little more positive. The remote works well

Needed a player for my poolside bar and didnt need all the bells and whistles. This one fit the bill and works great. Easy installation and hooked right up. Had the right component hookups I needed. Simple operation and videos look great. I hooked this via HDMI and audio was ran thru from the audio out ports to my stereo receiver.

The Sony DVD player is a great value at the price. I bought it online on Best Buy's website. It was easy to make my purchase and I could pick it up at the store within an hour. At the store, the staff was friendly, answered my questions and got me back out in good time.

My TV does not have enough HDIM ports so when I needed a new DVD it had to have RCA plugs. It was not easy to find till I went to Best Buy. The salesman was extremely helpful. The package did not say what type of plugs it had. So he checked on his handheld computer and showed me what was in the box. Very good machine and it does everything I need.
Hi Acer, Good to know that the DVD player met your expectations. Thank you for choosing Sony! - Jerome

My Onkyo amplifier quit working and as is the norm right now for choices I had only two in my price range so I got the Sony. Attaching all of the wires was very easy, although I may have one in the wrong place. The programing with the remote is the difficult part. After using it for awhile I am considering either starting it all over or calling out the Geek Squad because a few things still don't work the way I would like. Maybe that is the way it is designed but every time I turn on the TV I have to chose what I am going to do and it asks twice. I can't watch TV, turn it off to answer my phone and then turn it back on without having to go back through answering I the questions again. That is a pain.

This is a good DVD player. It is a little more expense than some of the other DVD players, but I purchased it because of the Sony name. I purchased an HDMI cable to attach it to my TV since the unit doesn't include a HDMI cable. It has all the features you would expect. I am using it for running my exercise video. The problem I have is that it restarts the video at where I left off (this is a feature for playing movies.) I always want to start at the beginning - so I have to rewind to the beginning. The other problem is the manual. The manual only gives the names of the buttons on the remote. For the most part, you can understand what the button does, but not always. It is more trial-and-error.
