I needed a new dvd player & didn't want to spend a fortune since it doesn't get alot of use. This Sony model fit the bill, easy set up & unconverts too. For under $50 this is a good buy. Only complaint is there is no light which indicates it's on, but from reading other reviews that seems to be common now with other brands too

This is my 1st smaller size DVD player. The other player was a SONY and lasted 23 years! This SONY is easy to use with understandable remote. I also notice a wider range of directing remote toward the DVD player. No exact positioning of the remote to DVD player is required. If you think of a clock, the DVD player is at 12 and where I sit is about 3 on the clock. The player responds well to remote.

Small, compact but gives a great crisp clear picture on TV. Easy setup and use. Great price!

This DVD player is basic, but works well. It is compact, but has all the necessary features. Definitely worth the money because it enables us to continue enjoying our old DVDs.

This is the 3rd Sony 5110 DVD player I've bought in the last four years. You really receive more bang for your buck with this model than any other one I've seen on the market. It's incredibly simple to use & the remote (on the small side) helps make it that way. A very excellent product at an unbelievable price!

This is one fabulous deal as it works perfectly, yet is so easy to operate, and I was able to acquire it for the proverbial song -- i.e., high value for low price. Best Buy is definitely the place to go for such things, as not only do they have a great selection, all at excellent prices, but also have most helpful staff. What's not to love?!

Sometimes you just want a small DVD player that is fairly portable. This one is a good size, fairly inexpensive, and still gives a good DVD picture quality. I also chose this one because it had component and HDMI output, so it is more flexible to match what input the TV has -- for example in a hotel room, cabin, etc.

Easy to use. Plays DVDs well. Remote control included. Only thing though: DVD box did not state if remote control was included. It is. Online, it stated HDMI is sold separately if I want to use one. Sales person recommended to get one and I did. Nice picture.

This is your basic one cd/dvd player suitable for most usage. Easy to install and use for either dvd's or cd's. Small size is handy, operational indicators easy to see and use, sound and visual quality are fine. This is not the now less often seen 5 CD player with all the bells and whistles, but it does not pretend to be and is priced accordingly.

Works great, slim profile and simple remote. Only issue is the power on-off indicator light is barely visable, so difficult to decern if unit is powered on or off.

This is our 2cd Sony DVD-exact same player. The 1st one lasted 5 yrs. We play a lot of DVD's. So, I'm hoping this one will last a little bit longer. It's so simple to set up (we have a Sony TV). Great picture & easy controls. Price is very good. Nothing fancy for a basic DVD player. Remote control is easy to use.

Our house was hit by lightning last year, and the previous DVD player was damaged. This is the replacement and has more features than the other one did. It is easier to set up, program and work than the other one was also. So far we really like it and think it was a better value for the money than the old one (very close in cost on both of them) The other player was only about 6 months old when the strike happened, so it isn't like comparing two players that were a lot more different in age of manufacture. The Sony is clearly the better player. The last one was a Toshiba and was a larger unit for some reason. This one fits into the available space a lot better too.

Although I miss having a front panel digital display to show track number & time elapsed, this unit is small enough and very affordable plus it produces a good DVD picture, so I can forgo that 'luxury'. Easy to use remote and set-up.

This has a great picture....its super easy setup ( i used the HDMI cord that you have to buy seperately but is much better and easier to set up) and super easy to use...along with a great price! What more can you ask for. I got the open box and added a 4 year warranty.

this CD & DVD is fantastic easy to use with controller, now for me I settled for the CD DVD player, if you are interested in Blue Ray, I didn't care to have the blue ray, I just wanted to have a DVD player. the quality of the sony is fantastic, takes up very little room great buy.

I finally had to replace my ancient dvr player. This Sony dvd player is compact, easy to set up, and easy to use. I think it is well priced for the excellent quality.

as someone with a substantial DVD and CD collection this player handles both with great quality especially for this price point and works well with CEC.

I purchased this awhile ago and it is still going strong. I like the size of this DVD player and ease of use. My family and I still like watching movies on DvD. This will do the job and the cost was very fair. The remote is straight forward and easy to navigate. I like this better than my so call smart tv.

I really love this DVD player. It is extremely compact, and more importantly, works really well. Even my older DVDs look better with this player than with my old one. I had been looking for a very small DVD player and had thought this might be bigger than I wanted--it wasn't. It is really quite tiny but performs mightily.
