It's not very heavy and it takes excellent photos.I assume it is not as good as the prime G lenses but it represents good value. I would recommend it.

It gives you just enough Telephoto distance without a heavy lens. I love the clarity and sharpness of the picture. Needs no editing if you know how to program your settings.

Probably not the best in the light but for travel during the daytime this should be a pretty good choice.

I waited a full year for me to get it at a good reasonable price and it was well worth it. Just took a trip to Niagara falls and used this on my Sony a6300 and the pics were beautiful.
