This is a great flat for the Sony A7 series of cameras. The size is perfect. I also like the flexibility of how this flash swivels. You can bounce it even when you rotate in to portrait mode. It also has an LED light if you need some extra light while recording video.

This flash is compact, yet powerful, and even includes a video light.

The flash works great as a stand alone or in combination with other light sources, as it is capable of triggering other wireless flash devices. The light is much stronger than it claims to be, which is great, but plan on bouncing the light off an umbrella or using a heavy matting filter.

I bought this for my sony A7RII and it is bright! So far it works great and has a lot of functionality to it. I was able to also use it as a remote flash controller to signal my other sony flash. The great thing about this is that it has both manual mode and also TTL (which means it works with the camera to determine proper exposure). Its definitely a good step in the right direction for more professional photographers who need that level of control and versatile functionality. BUT that also means the product is more complicated to use. You really need to read the manual and practice with it a lot to understand and utilize it to its fullest capability. Im no dummy but so far I have not learned how to use it well. Part of the learning curve is that the user interface is far from user friendly/intuitive. That's why I cant give it a full 5 stars.

-Tremendous improvement in image quality (Low-light/Indoor) when compared to built in flash. -Quick bounce shift is really great, when you learn how to use it. -Wireless trigger works fine.

This more powerful flash (greater than the HVLF32M) is great for larger areas, has easy-to-use functionality, and works great off-camera. I use this particular flash especially for all the real estate work I do. It is a pretty heavy flash since it uses 4 AA batteries, but I couldn't be happier.

Perfect pairing with the Sony A6000. long battery life .

Love these flashes, but they do tend to overheat easily!

I've had good luck so far using this flash as both a receiver and transmitter. It syncs with any wireless Sony flash and has more than adequate adjustments to allow for anything from subtle to extreme light filling.

All works as described. The video light is a must.

Buyer beware the 43M and the 43AM are different. After consulting with 2 sales associates I was sold the wrong one. I am now deployed abroad and have a 300 paper weight.

It is easy to use. Although it as slightly heavy compared to equivalent units, i am very satisfied with the unit.

the flash is great and i love how it articulates. as for the LED video light, it works but i would only use it in a pinch. thankfully that's not why i bought this flash

I tried a few shots with this flash. It took great picture overall. Led light for video recording is not bright enough

Absolutely great flash, time between flashes (recycle) is excellent, roughly 1-2 seconds, battery's last for a good time, best guess 250-300 flashes, I'm using rechargable ones (Ikea brand) and they are working perfectly.

Bought this for my son and looked around for a long time before deciding on an OEM flash. Make no mistake, it is expensive - more than many other options, but what struck me was the video/modeling light, the native flash Sony proprietary shoe (multi interface) - and most of all, the unique "quick shift" rotating flash head. When you shoot portraits, you can rotate the entire flash head keeping the light in the horizontal position. Bought for use on a Sony A7ii.

This unit fits nicely on my a7rii, I also use it as an off camera flash triggering it with my HVM – 20, it works perfectly.

Great flash easy to a just. You can set it to your exact needs. I had to invest in some rechargeable batteries but its amazing.
