It was love at first click. While the lens is large and not convenient to carry around, it is very well balanced and easy to hold to your eye. I completely forget about the bulk when I am looking through the viewfinder with so much more reach than the 70-200 mm lens I have been using for years. Image quality is amazing, but you would expect that for a G Master lens. Two things that will blow your mind about this lens are the silky rendering of the blurred background and the ability to focus closer to the subject than I would expect for this focal length. I will have a lot of fun with this lens!

I suppose I wasn't sure what I was expecting in terms of size, but it came in one of the largest boxes I've ever seen and the lens is massive... but surprisingly "light" for it's size.
Focus is fast and accurate, and the few test photos I've done so far have been amazing. Can't wait to get it out and used more
