This lens help me to appreciate the technical work that went to building the camera and lens. I don’t know why the manufacture doesn’t offer a better kit lens to go with the camera . They will sale more. That why I don’t buy the camera with the kit lens . I love this lens . I love the Modesto store there Camera department is above average the time ,effort and patience. I wanted the GM version of this lens but I decided to go with something more affordable, definitely got my money's worth. If you have the extra cash to go for the GM, I imagine the quality can only get better and the quality of this lens is really good.

Great Lens For The Money

While I'm no professional, this lens did a really good job. My first thought was that it wasn't all that great. It was when I started to edit that I realized how good it actually was. With my cheaper Tamron Lenses, there's far more editing involved, especially as far as lens correction and that sort of thing. The colors on the Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 are spot on. This is a must have lens to add to your collection.
