The Sony PG10 is the go-to speaker for your summer parties and backyard barbecues! I cannot say enough good things about this product, but here is a small list: Pros: 13 Hour Battery Life Excellent Portability Water Resistant Design Super Loud! Nice Amount of Bass FM Tuner Microphone Compatible Cup Holders! Charges any device via USB! Cons: Muffled sound when sides are not open.

Bought this for a camping trip on the beach, now use it all the time. Great for use on the back deck, without having to run wires. Plenty loud for a get together, good, clear sound. Love how you can plug it in or use as a rechargeable unit.

I really wanted to like it. Bought a used one from BB but the antenna was broke and the battery only lasted about half the the time it says it would. Wish I got a brand new one. Ended up returning it

This is an okay unit just not the quality case or sound I was hoping for , okay for the backyard or park . Just the quality of sound is not what I expected. Bought it for my Grandson I don’t expect it to last long . Teens ! The real review should ask , was my order completely NO still waiting on cords for my speakers I bought under the idea they would work in my truck. Well not without customizing the mount and still had to make adjustments to speakers housing to get it to work. Needless to say might as well credit my account for speaker cords , figured it out .

It’s my kareoke jam box. I hooked a couple of microphones up to it, use my phone to open YouTube, type in the song I want (then type kareoke) and its an all night party (till the cops get called)!

So this speaker is truly good for sound in big areas. One thing I noticed immediately was the good bass and once you fold the table down the treble really kicks in to give it a full rich sound. I have a Bose and a Big Jambox and they sound similar in sound quality but can’t compare with the volume this produces. It even has a radio tuner in it so you can listen to the game as it happens. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the speaker minus the table, is made of particle board which I have a feeling if it gets wet it will swell. We shall see but overall this is the only speaker I will be taking to tailgate events! I love it!

This speaker is great out on the deck or by the pool. It sounds great and plays louder than anyone would need outside. The battery lasts a long time, and is also capable of charging or powering USB devices. At home, I connect this speaker to an Echo Dot using the 3.5mm cable, power the Dot from the speaker USB port, and connecting the Dot via WiFi have a wireless, cordless speaker that can play streaming music without using my phone. It's also cool how the top flips open and gives you a couple drink holders. Too bad the top isn't sturdy enough to sit on.

The ONLY con on this little unit is the set up with the app. It's not very intuitive as to how to do presets, connect during standby, etc. Directions are a little hit or miss for nontechnical users. Sound is awesome! And front facing--which means we can blast the music or the ballgames (thank you Sony for adding the FM tuner) straight at our pool and not worry about bugging the neighbors. Base is rich and clear even at very low volume. Little cup holders and tray are actually useful right for having drinks within reach and not falling over on the deck.

Thing really fills indoor spaces with sound and offers plenty of volume outdoors to get the party started. Additionally the FM tuner, Bluetooth, and Aux in all work very well. I was skpetical that the FM tuner would pick up any stations as sometimes these things can be pretty weak, but it works perfectly both indoors and outdoors. Its size makes it big enough for good sound, but small enough to move around as you like - it doesn't weigh alot either. It's a great patio addition when you've got friends over and just want some ambience!

We took out of box and looked it over. Not what we were looking for so we carefully repackaged and returned.

I was very impressed with the Sony PG10 portable speaker. This speaker packs quite a punch, plus it offers many addition features. When I took the speaker out of the box, I was surprised to learn that a speaker this size, has a built-in rechargeable battery. In fact, the battery last for a solid 13 hours on a single charge! The look and feel of the speaker is very elegant. The design is very practical and very unique. The 2 foldable tables open up as cup holders, as well as offer another useful feature (which I will discuss later on). The buttons are made of rubber, they are also rather large and hard to miss. There is also a removable door on the front, which houses inputs for AUX cables, Mic for karaoke, and a USB port for plug and play music. The sound of this unit is quite remarkable, especially for a battery powered speaker. It gets extremely loud, enough to fill a large sized yard. The sound is very clear and the bass packs a big punch. There is also the traditional Sony Mega Bass button, which adds extra bass and makes a big difference. There are 2 tweeters built into each of the foldable tables. There are 2 different ways to listen to the speaker...The first, is to have the foldable tables closed, this mode allows for the music to flow in a straight line for more narrow or inclosed areas. The second, is when the tables are opened, this allows for the music to expand in a wider area for outdoor use. Both positions offer their own unique listening sounds. Overall, the Sony PG10 is an excellent portable outdoor speaker, which offers a wide variety of features. This is the perfect party speaker, with built-in karaoke mode, foldable tables with cup holders, and excellent sound. I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone.

the speaker is not lough for the money I paid,price too high

tl;dr: Get the app to smooth the sound, then rock out all night with wireless music & karaoke! This is a versatile, battery-powered speaker which delivers quite a punch. Even at high volumes, there’s no audible distortion at either the high or low end. It has a ¼” microphone input (microphone not included) that makes this a great karaoke machine or a portable PA system. The top opens up to make for a nice drink holder or a speech lecturn. This is built for parties. While a little bulky, it’s still lightweight enough to carry easily. With a microphone you can be heard over your guests. If you’re into singing, the microphone and music are active at the same time for a wonderful Karaoke experience. There’s even an echo control (little to lots) to add to the fun. My kids and their friends couldn’t get enough of it! The party speaker is built to be used with its associated app. The app is needed to set the FM presets and to use the equalizer. Out of the box, it’s set with a “U” shaped response curve emphasizing highs and lows. All are clear, but mid tones are lost. The app has a dozen or so options to choose from in EQ presets, so most people can find their match. The standard “Excited” preset is good for pop music, which explains the out of the box setting. Flat comes close to presenting a balanced stage, but still cuts some mid-tones out compared to some of the better home theater speakers and headphones I’ve listened to. Overall: While larger than many battery powered speakers, the extra punch and versatile audio inputs make this stand out from the pack. This is sure to get some kudos at your next event!
