I'm not an audiophile, but these headphones are pretty sweet! I spent a long time deciding between these and BoseQ35, and I don't regret this purchase. The sound is good, they're pretty comfy (warm during the summer, but it's 100F), and look great. I found them on sale, and BestBuy price-matched them, so I saved >$150. If you can't get them on sale, then I'd pay to get the one-tier up models just because they are a bit quieter. In all reality, these are great for my commute, work, and just relaxing.

    Excellent Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones

These are excellent noise cancelling bluetooth headphones. Although they don't cancel out all the noise (like the MDR1000x), they do a great job and the sound quality is top notch. For the price I purchased these, I would buy 2 of these before I buy the Bose QC35. The only complaint I have is the pressure the two pads put against my head. I only noticed this after wearing it for 2 hours and took it off. I've only had it a week and it may be possible to lighten the pressure with more use.

I bought this after seeing reviews online and seeing a possible price match. They were shipped to my local store very fast. I travel a lot so I wanted something reliable on the airplane that could drown out as much noise as possible. This have great sound (I listen to a lot of dance music) The bass and clarity is on par for the price. Oh, and the color is beautiful, I get a lot of compliments on them.

I tried using these for studying comparing them to the Bose QC35s. The bose were significantly more comfortably as the Sonys put pressure on my head. Sound was great, though, if you won't need to wear them for 8 hours at a time.

Not as good as BOSE QC35 of course, however very good for like upto 5 hours of use. Sound quality: excellent (9/10 compared to QC35) Noise cancellation: very good. (7/10 compared to QC35) Good for movies, music, calls

I am not an audiophile, but the sound quality and noise cancelling of these Sony headphones seems excellent to me and is much better than the less expensive headphones I have purchased in the past. The headphones are easy to set up with all my devices including bluetooth. I cannot think of any negatives about these headphones, particularly at the price I paid (BestBuy matched the Newegg price).

These headphones were well made and the noise cancellation worked better than expected. Voices do come through louder than desired but they block out most other noise well. My gripe with these headphones was the sound profile. The mid range was far too restrained and the highs were harsh. Bass was well controlled but the V shaped sound profile left me wanting a warmer sound profile. The harsh highs were something I couldn't get past. Ultimately I returned these and my search for a quality pair of noise cancelling headphones continues.

I have been using this Headphones for more than a week... 1> Sound..' I love the way is balance .. it is nice and clear on vocals and have enough bass to play any hip hop songs.. 2> Desing.- I like the way they look ,so minimalist and the controls are easy to reach.I Don't like the way they feel i have to be so careful handling it because i feel like i will break them. the cap Doesn't turn enough to sit them on a flat table... the headphone pads are so comfy but after an hour it gets warm.. I suggest to get the extra coverage on these for that reason. 3.> Battery.-.. Awesome.. it says it last 20 hours.. i agree after a week and a constant use i didn't charge once until now.. $.>Conclusion..If you are looking for a nice pair of headphones with awesome quality, design and battery This are the right for you.!!

Sadly these headphones were sold out online on Best Buy, so I had to get them somewhere else. That being said, they are amazing. The pads are much more comfortable than the Beats Studio Wireless. The sound quality is way better. I also own a pair of Audio-Technica NC headphones and these Sony ones are much better at both the noise cancelling and how well balanced the sound is. I have only been using my iPhone to listen to music, so cannot comment on the whole HiRes quality, but definitely you can listen to details that the Beats obliterate with their overpowering bass. The design is also spot-on: super understated yet modern, they definitely are a great choice. Sony definitely got it 100% right with these headphones.

    Uncomfortable, Not worth it

These have good sound quality, I'll say that. But these have crucial flaws that make these headphones unsatisfactory. The headphones aren't comfortable at all, legitimately annoyingly uncomfortable. These headphones are terrible for long uses for more than 30 minutes, they make your head sore. They apply an unnecessary amount of pressure on your head. Second they have a really annoying Bluetooth flaw, there will be static buzzing starting to come out of the ears at random. Even if you're not playing music. It wasn't just one pair, I sent back a pair but they still had random buzzing "attacks". All this for a price of $350,not worth it at all.

    A Stepping Stone for Sony

It's my belief that Sony used these as an introduction to its future potential as a leading competitor in the Noise Cancelling Headphones market. Their soon to be released MDR-1000X headphones can attest to that - they are being touted as Bose QC35 killers. However, these particular cans the Sony Hear.On Wireless 100-ABN I was not impressed by. The sound quality and production was very empty feeling, the music had no depth and was at times even shrill due to the forward highs and recessed lows. The midrange did sound pretty good though admittedly. Noise cancelling was also really good! I was shocked at how well they blocked very dynamic and intrusive sounds such and traffic noise and an old model dishwasher running. They are fairly comfortable with a decent design, I didn't care for the goofy looking gap between the headband and the side of my head. The ear cushions also make an annoying whistling noise when compressed, that in itself didn't resonate quality. I think those issues have been addressed in the upcoming MDR-1000X headphones though! Overall I would consider not purchasing these, if you need something immediate with the standout features of these headphones, seek another competitor at least for now.

Great sound but ANC suffers wind issue

I wanted good noise canceling headphones which I can wear outdoors. Sound quality is an important criteria which meant Bose QC35 was not an option. These cans sound pretty good but the main problem I faced was: (1) comfort (the padding is very little and earcups smaller than what I would like), (2) when outdoors on a windy day, the mic picks up wind noise which makes ANC useless. I could have lived with point (1) but wind noise was a deal breaker and made me return them.
