This unit produces a full bass sound. The EQ has little variation but sounds good overall. The lights are pretty cool.

My first impression was the speaker was considerably larger than what I would typically think of in a Bluetooth speaker. It paired quickly with my Bluetooth device and then wowed me with its powerful and clear sound. It brought out nuances from compressed song files that I thought were only achievable through a DAC interface. Then I focused on the light show, a random mix between color changes and strobe effects that kept beat with the music, and I was sold. Sure, this speaker does not have a battery function to be officially labeled as a portable speaker, but who cares; I typically plug in the speakers for my personal use anyway. In addition to Bluetooth operation, you can also plug in wired devices and daisy-chain the speaker into a second one to achieve surround sound. If you are looking for an affordable speaker with powerful, clear sound you can easily transport around, you could do a lot worse.

This is a great speaker with both sound and the light show. It was bigger than I thought but I have no regrets buying it and would do so again. I was looking for a small portable just for my personal listening pleasure on the deck each evening. This speaker does that but I hate to wear it out on just my enjoyment. In my opinion it it better suited for a larger audience to enjoy. The sound fills our deck and gives the neighbors something to both listen to and watch (after dark). We love it for family and friend gatherings. I have no complaints and highly recommend purchasing it. I should add that I purchased it on sale at half price instead of full price.

I needed an outdoor speaker that can perform and be the very best. Loud bass and extremely crisp sounds. The light show it puts on is an eye catcher. This speaker is great

It's not as big as I expected but I loved the sound. It is also very easy to use and I like the lights a lot. I bought it on sale and it was worth it for the price I paid.

I bought this speaker for my daughter little party on my backyard and it was a hit!. Bluetooth connection it's great, sound?, well...its ok for a small party or just for home use. The lights was the main reason I got complements. Good speaker overall. I m planning to buy an additional speaker so I can create a better ambiance on my backyard parties.

When they work together via the party chain function they can sound really good however getting them to consistently pair is a nightmare. I purchased these for usage at get-togethers and parties however I have them permanently set up in my kitchen. Once paired you are supposed to be able to turn them off and on without losing that connection.. This is not the case.. and they need to be 3 ft or less apart to even pair.. So if you want them for this function I would pass or connect them together via the wired option. However other than that these speakers sound great and the lighting is a fun bonus!

Great Speaker For The Price I Paid Clear Sound And Bass Is Sufficient For Listening Pleasure Wish It Didn’t Have Stay Plugged In

I have been looking at this speaker for some time now. I finally caught it on sale for a little over 100 dollars. The presentation of the speaker is nice. I enjoy the colors and setup of the lighting, and the sound is pretty decent for the price. I do however feel that connecting the device should not take as much effort as it does. I may be a tad impatient but pairing to my mobile device took some time. I really have not noticed a great difference in the sound of the speaker when I toggle between the extra bass and regular sound. Overall for the money I am satisfied with the purchase, and look forward to using it at my next get together.

Bought the Sony x30 a couple years ago which has great sound and battery life for a small Bluetooth box. They had this on the deal of the day and bought one it was bigger than I thought and needs to be plugged in but great sound and paid the same price as the X30. It came back on the deal of the day a month later and bought a second one so I can pair it with the other.

Sounds good but isn't as loud as i would hope it would be especially with the extra bass

Ok, so have a smaller Bose but wondered about this. Very surprised and happy that it’s loud enough for grilling on the porch and rocking out. The Bose is great but I’ll say this thing rocks. Only drawback is having to plug it in. The lights are cool at night too!

Very clear very strong sound I live this speaker I'm a big fan of Sony products. My phone is Sony this speaker rocks love the strobe light effects. Ez and fast Bluetooth connectivity and what I like the most is that u Always have it plug In so no more dead speaker after three hours of play this one can pull u all night and all day.

Over all this is a very sturdy speaker with good sound. The only thing that would've been better is for it to have some kind of official waterproofing rating for use outside but that's neither here nor there since this unit was built to that specification. As usual, the Sony experience is a good one!

I absolutely love the Sony speaker it’s super loud has amazing bass love the lights I’m happy with my purchase, I got this speaker for an amazing price on sale I had my eye on this speaker for a while the price was right I had to get it so far so good the speaker is great.

I use this speaker with my phone as well as my record player! The sound is superb and the bass is amazing! The lights are kinda gimicky, but they are neat. You can always turn them off if youre not a fan though

I was amazed at the sound this speaker provides, just wow. Bluetooth makes it very easy for setup. The lights are an added bonus. Speaker has a great level of sound and the bass is full.

It's bigger, heavier and no battery, you have to plug it in but it connects to your phone fast and sounds better than the smaller portable ones. They should have a model without the lights even though you can turn them off.
