Bought this right after the Corona virus hit. Since I could foresee spending lots of time sheltering in place and sitting on the deck gathering more vitamin "D", I bought this to listen to satellite and I ♥ radio while outside relaxing. The base is substantial and adequate but when paired with the top-end and mid-ranges, it sounds a little muffled to me (with my music source preferences). More for Metallica than Mozart. Love that it's battery powered (or plug-in) but it couldn't be considered portable. So I decided to lug this to another room and purchase Sony's MHC-V71 Home Audio System which has small casters to help with getting it out to the deck. BTW, I rate the V71 with 5*****'s.

I like how loud I can get it, sounds better farther away from it.

Owned it for awhile it’s nice and loud. Pretty good about not dying fast as long as it’s inside or something not to cold. With cold I’ve noticed it dies fast. Everyone loves this thing where ever I take it someone always wants to buy it off me. Flashes, is loud, fair size, nice quality. 7.5/10

Only a little heavier then my Bose lol - but it serves a different function. Plus linking up with other units seems far easier then Bose period... so my next one is going to be extra Sony to connect to my home dance floor mixer (keep the kids busy during this silly social misfitting)

Don't get me wrong this speaker is loud, but not enough bass for my taste. I added a Polk audio 10 inch sub, and man what a difference. You hear full music like it was meant to sound. Cool features, bluetooth is awesome and apps as well. But play this with and without a powered sub and you will see what I'm talking about.

First let's start with this is a big speaker and it weighs in at about 27 lbs so it isn't going to win any awards for size. However, if you are using it correctly, great speaker. Setup with my Pixel XL was flawless, we had a bit of a pairing issue with an I Phone 6s but after loading the Sony Music Center App all problems resolved. We set this up outside and my boys had some friends over (12-16 year olds). It was a hit, they could make it as loud as they wanted and the lights prompted a dance party that was hilarious. Later I connected it to our projector and watched some movies in the back yard. Our second outing was trunk or treat at school. My 15 year old set it up in the back of the Jeep and played spooky Halloween music, again the light show was a hit. It attracted kids young and old, which also turned into a dance party. We used it a solid 5.5 hours at 75-100% volume and had not battery concerns. The bass is good, the EXTRA BASS is a better sound overall. As with any device at near full volume there is distortion. We found at about 85-90% volume was pretty good. There are several connections to fit just about any circumstance. We liked the feature to be able to connect up to 3 devices. We don't have a second unit so can't comment on the daisy chain feature but in doing some research others have had good success but it does lose some control features when daisy chaining. All in all I would say this is an excellent purchase, what put it over the top was the light show and we didn't know it until boys said they loved it.

Wow, this portable Sony speaker gets the party started with a boom!!! I link all for of my Sony XB90'S together to impress the guest. You can hook up a microphone to them for hosting DJ speeches to your guests.

I was looking for good bass since I'm doing outdoor theater for kids. This is not just great for theater you can use it for karaoke, video games, and you can take it to the beach. Very happy with purchase and neighbor are jealous.

Sound quality is great the only problem is it took us a while to connect to the speaker. We tried three different phones but speaker wouldn’t come up on the Bluetooth !!!I’m not sure why but it was frustrating. Other than that works great now .

This speaker lives up to all the hype that it deserves sound is awesome and the flashing lights at night are the best if you get another one you have a real party but buy it self is just as great will be buying another one soon

I just pay 325 for it new, i love it, good material, good sound, can customize a lot of it with the app, i just dont like that it only gives you 3.5 of music i expected it go have a big battery but i also understand that is a big speaker so it may consume a lot of power.

LOVE LOVE my speaker. It was a little more than I expected as far as quality and sound and I am glad for it! I did not expect it to put out the sound quality like that, therefore I am glad I made the choice to purchase this one.
