The bass notes are way too powerful and the balance is really off when watching movies. It's kind of annoying to use as it takes up a lot of space. I stopped using it in favor of my TV's built-in speakers. I would avoid this unless you're looking for something that plays music and takes up a lot of space.

Took minutes to set up and i use the tv for a center speaker, it has multiple sound options for what your watching I rocked the house watching the new Bond flick of course it sounds better than the LG but its a better bar I guess what we buy what we think we want to spend yes Sony has better but not for this price it's well worth buying if you don't want to empty out the wallet

Better than Average - good but not great

I think others might be interested in what I observed. 1) it is a nice sounding and nice looking soundbar that needs the sub to have a nice full sound (as opposed to my ZVOX). 2) originally wanted to run multiple sound sources to the bar and use it to relay to the TV, but decided to run all sources to TV and then from TV to bar eArc. This sounded nice and provided nice functionality with my samsung TV. Also wanted to be able to watch sports with no sound a listen to music via Blutooth. According to sony manufacturer rep who answers questions, this cannot be done. That is not true, you can switch a HDMI setting in the 4 layer deep menu and accomplish this. But that is pain. the only way to get the sound back was to redo the menu option to default, power the bar off and then back on. Instead, I ran an optical cable from TV to soundbar and eliminated the EARC HDMI link and it works as we wanted. The problem - this loses the "atmos" capabilities. If there is an HDMI link from your TV to your sound bar, you will not be able to use the bar BT while watching something on the TV. All in all - like with most sony products, build quality is good and sound is better than average.

It was the easiest sound bar/subwoofer combination that setup flawlessly and with minimal effort. We have a Sony Bravia TV, so we only need one remote to control sound. The sound quality is amazing! I love the different sound modes (voice, concert, music) and the surround sound is significant. I had Boston Acoustic setup previously before it went to pasture and this Sony beats that sound quality by far. I am glad that I chose this one over the 2.1 channel. You won’t be disappointed!

The sub is great too. Has custom eq settings for everything. My only complaint is i had to turn it up to 70-85 to hear the dialog maybe it's because of the big living room Idont know.

It definitely has a clean sound from the soundbar. And at high volumes you can feel the sub kick in. For movie nights, its great. But if you're going for JUST an avaerage every day use... maybe save some money and just go with the soundbar.

Good Soundbar

I get great sound, good bass and good volume. Sometimes I can notice the Atmos working but since it does not have upward firing speakers it’s not true Atmos. Very pleased with my purchase, it is a great option if you catch it on sale.
