Have a TCL TV and had the Alto 9+ which did have a “wide sound stage”, but even when i was watching something with Dolby Atmos I really could not tell that it wasn’t just stereo sound. This Sony one blows it away. It throws sound all over. Sounds come from front, side, behind. It was crazy! I don’t really know about the sounds coming from above, but I’m so glad I switched.

Even though it has a boomy sound profile, it's still able to produce voices clearly and accurately. It can get loud enough to fill a large room or crowded environment, and there's also a 'News' EQ preset that can help the bar further enhance your dialogue experience. You can also use Bluetooth to stream your favorite podcasts or audiobooks to the bar.

Great addition to my X900E

I picked this up from best buy and set up was a breeze. My TV recognized the sound bar and it just worked. Sound is AWESOME for all sources(except CBS, no idea why but all sound from that network is low)

And also, check if night mode is disabled. Night mode function outputs the sound at low volume with minimum loss of fidelity and clarity of dialogue. Press the NIGHT button on the supplied remote to set the function on or off. Hope this helps!

Quality soundbar for the price.

The dialogue comes out from the main speaker in the center of the bar, this is what makes the difference for me between the other one with 2.1 channels. The subwoofer produces great lows. I highly recommend this one if you’re willing to invest a little more above the 2.1
