TV is also a Sony. TV doesnt do that with the Soundbar turned off. I have to turn it up to 30 just for normal listening. I dont get a 'surround sound' effect and I spent a lot of money for a little sound. I reached out to Sony to see if I could get some rear speakers to enhance the sound quality. Nope. Nothing pairs with it. Sound quality is clear and no buzzing so at least I have that.

Sony Ht-G700 speakers

The bass is non existent and I have Sony all around. Tower speakers and sub for my home theater, I have Sony tv and projector and receivers. But I am very disappointed with this purchase, definitely not worth the money. I am just glad I can also use my Bose sound bar with this. I can hear the dialogue a little better but that’s all.

We're sorry to hear that you have an issue with the bass on your SONY unit. • When the input source does not contain much bass sound, such as in TV programs, the bass sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear. Press the SW (subwoofer volume) +/– to adjust the subwoofer volume.

This is only noticeable for television or app viewing. Concerts turned up consistently loud are excellent. The voice features allows those of us who are losing our hearing to be able to make our lyrics and not just the music.

Makes movies more enjoyable to watch and regular cable TV comes across clearer as well. Install was direct and easy. My only complaint is the subwoofer drops the connection fairly regularly. It's easy to reconnect but a pain.

For audio drop out, some of these issues can be fixed by simply updating the firmware of the soundbar to the latest version 1.055 this includes improvement on Bluetooth function security.
