We are so happy and amazed how the sound delivers on this Sony sound bar. We have tried different sound bar in Best Buy display store and this is the best that we've tried in a low budget bracket. Of course the more expensive one with Wi Fi are also nice but to our budget, this is the best! Its easy to connect to our new Sony OLED TV. We connect it the same time the TV arrived, and it made it so easy to us. Connecting it to the streaming through our laptop, IPAD and Iphone is very easy as well. We love it and the sound is fantastic.

Great TV. We went to Best Buy with a certain price range and the employee who helped us was very knowledgeable! Incredible picture and incredible price. Would highly recommended.

In my opinion, if you want to improve the sound of the TV and do not want to spend a lot, this bar can work for you. In my case, the treble did not meet my expectations. It connects very well and has many voice and sound functions, but it is not for people with an educated ear

Somewhat disappointed with then overall sound quality and integration with other SONY products. I thought that at this price level my new XR-77A80J OLED would be a terrific marriage. The integration is not as seamless as I had expected. The sound bar takes a while to get started even as the TV has been on for a few seconds. The same is true when the DVD player initially transmits sound, there is always a noticeable delay. Sometimes the sound and image seem to be a few microseconds off which can be dismissible, this delay maybe noticeable because I’m dealing with two separate systems. My point of reference for sound immersion is my old SONY Grand Wega, KDF-60XS955 which had 3 vertical speakers on each side of the screen and the subwoofer was integrated in the body of the TV. Given the bar only has 3 speaker on a horizontal plane, you don’t get the same level of sound elevation or immersion, even as SONY touts its vertical surround engine. I’ll probably extract some juice out of this one for a few months and go to the next level with the SONY HT-A9 which leverages the screen as a center speaker. Reviews on this one also seem to be lacking, so may be other brands need to be considered. It would be nice if SONY offered a subwoofer that could be paired directly with the screen of the XR OLED TV, as a the screen seems to offer reasonable sound and clarity, but lacks bass to add fullness to the sound.

Bought as birthday gift for my bf. He Loves it. Adds the theatre sound.

Ok. 3 month review. Good sound when loud. But need to be in the 35plus volume range to be relevant. Paired with sony 900h. Voice must be turned on to hear clearly. Vass is good, but has since been a nightmare. Loses connection very often. Sometimes needs to be connected manually. It sits within 4ft of bar. If I could return it I would. It pairs wonderfully with the 900h connection wise. But functionality is on par with a $150 soundbar. Very disappointed coming from a sony fan.

This is one of the best Sound-bar i have owned. I have not owned very expensive ones but in this range. My experience playing FIFA on PA5 or watching movies have gone to a another level with this. Must try

This sound bar was a part of a package deal with my TV, it fills the room with Theatre quality sound. Action movies sound amazing, with the concerns of Covid and missing going to the movies, this sound bar is a nice addition for a home theatre.

We had a Sony HTX9000 sound bar system in our bedroom and although we liked it, there were some drawbacks. But I've usually had good experiences with Sony A/V equipment, so when I saw the HT-G700's specs, I thought I'd give it a try and I'm honestly glad I did - bottom line, it's a nice upgrade from our old Sony sound bar. In this package, you'll get: * HT-G700 sound bar * 400w Wireless subwoofer * Sony A/V Remote with batteries * HDMI Cable The sound bar itself sports a 3-channel sound field, which is a nice upgrade from the 2.1 setup we had before. That means there's a dedicated center channel speaker to ensure you get punchy dialog instead of it being muted and divided into the left and right channels. There's some decent heft to this bar and the accompanying woofer. The LED display on the unit is minimalist and can also be dimmed if desired, which since this is in our bedroom, we did. The woofer is a decent size and weight also. The back of the sound bar also has the spots to measure if you want to mount the sound bar on a wall too, so no extra wall mount required, which is nice, although we left it on the top of a entertainment center. Setup was a breeze, plug in HDMI-ARC to TV and back of sound bar and we were up and running in less than 5 minutes. The sound bar also supports HDMI passthrough, so you can connect a video streaming box, cable box or video game system to sound bar if you're running short on cable or dealing with a wall-mounted TV. Setup goes as follows: * Connect the sound bar using the HDMI-ARC option on your TV * Power on the sound bar * Plug in the Subwoofer That's it! The sound output is much more noticeable than our previous Sony sound bar, and we love it! It works nicely on the TV stand we have in our bedroom. Watching movies makes the bedroom feel like a private mini-theater, so now when my wife is watching Masked Singer or something on our main TV, I can fire up Underworld or Deadpool in the bedroom and it sounds just as good. Just a head's up - this sound bar is not a "smart" sound bar. There's no digital voice assistant option with this, it's just a great sounding sound bar that offers 3.1 sound, 4k passthrough, Dolby Atmos, in a simple to set up package. This unit is a great solution for someone looking to add a good sound system for movies without a lot of headaches. At $599.99, it's definitely not the cheapest solution out there - but considering some other sound bars cost that much and don't offer a wireless sub, it's a pretty good price.

The Sony HT-G700 Sound Bar with separate subwoofer is an easy to install sound system with a wealth of listening options. At first, I was concerned about attaching this to a non-Sony TV. Still, it works perfectly with my Insignia TV and Apple TV configuration.   Unboxing and Setup   While the box is a bit of a monster, the equipment inside was secure, and I was able to unpack the system quickly. The sound bar fits perfectly between the legs of my 55" Insignia TV, and the subwoofer fits nicely below the TV stand. I attached the sound bar to the TV via a digital optical cable, then connected a power cable to the sound bar and another to the subwoofer. No connection cable is required for the subwoofer since it uses Bluetooth. I powered up the sound bar with the included remote and then powered up the TV. The sound bar controls are on the very top of the sound bar, which made it easy to put it into "pairing mode." The TV easily paired with the sound bar via Bluetooth. The subwoofer automatically paired with the sound bar via Bluetooth, but it does have a button on the back for putting into "pairing mode" for connecting to other devices.   Remote Control   The remote control has a lot of buttons for just controlling a sound bar. However, they are easily marked and are easy to use. I appreciate not having to use a toggle button to step through the different sound modes. There is a separate button for each mode. The volume button is big and easy to use, and there are separate buttons for the subwoofer volume.   Sound   The sound of the Sony HT-G700 Sound Bar is impressive! The Immersive AE mode provides the best "surround-sound" feel I have ever experienced with a forward-facing sound bar. There are three forward-facing 100W speakers, and the Immersive AE mode projects the sound both forward and upward to create greater depth. I also noticed that this makes the dialog in movies a lot clearer. A separate mode for making dialogs clearer can also be used (available on the remote as "VOICE"). I also enjoy the "Cinema" mode when watching movies for a robust experience. If there is a lot of dialogs, I use the Immersive AE mode, and for films with more action and sound effects, the Cinema mode works well.   The sound bar was easy to pair with my iPhone for playing music. With the sound bar in "Music" mode and the subwoofer cranked up on a wooden floor, the house was rocking out!   Sound Modes   • Auto Sound: Automatically selects the appropriate sound setting for the selected sound source. • Standard Sound: Best for TV broadcasts. • Cinema: Perfect for a forward projected movie feel that wraps around you. • Immersive AE: A virtual vertical surround projection that fills the room. • Music: The focus is on enhancing music. As an older musician with some hearing loss, this system provides an impressive range and clarity. This system has dramatically improved my TV viewing experience. It was easy to set up and configure. And the Remote Control is easy to use due to the individual buttons for the multiple features and sound modes.

You’re supposed to be a reputable company and when you buy some thing that’s opened at your store through the online app and it says merchandise is an excellent condition that’s what I expect it to be when I arrive at your store .  and not look like something that was just pulled out of the trash . I will prove this in the pictures below . I couldn’t get a hold of the manager at the Riverside Best Buy in California because every line was busy in the store it’s constantly busy you can never get through to anybody . I couldn’t get through to anybody. Do you call this excellent condition ??? Look at the pictures. These pictures were taken in your store at your Riverside California location . Does this look like it’s in excellent condition? Or does it look like something that was pulled out of the dumpster outback?

HTG700 Sound bar This sound bar is useless due to bad software design. I bought this to use with a new 75" Sony X85J TV. The TV is mostly a computer monitor with little need for the sound bar. Most of the time I want to Bluetooth music from an Android phone. If I change the sound bar input to Bluetooth, then the sound bar changes the TV input to HDMI3. That is just plain stoopid. A sound bar has no business changing my TV input. If I wanted HDMI3 input, I would not have set the input I had. This is an annoying issue on it's own, requiring me to change my input back to where I want it, but there is more to it than this. Bluetooth is disconnected when I switch the TV back to the input I want. To use Bluetooth on the sound bar, the TV CAN ONLY BE SET TO HDMI3! That makes the TV useless when using the sound bar Bluetooth, or the sound bar Bluetooth is useless. Take your pick. -------------- PART TWO! The next day, after many hours messing with this junk... Sony Support tells me the only solution is to turn off HDMI control on the sound bar. YIPEEEE!!! The sound bar can no longer hijack my TV!!! HOWEVER... with sound bar HDMI control turned off, the TV can't HDMI connect to the sound bar. This sound bar is useless! The sound is fantastic, but I'm returning this garbage to Best Buy. Sony, pull your head out of your... uhm... armpit! You should have put more thought into this before selling it. Side note: The only mounting method is keyhole slots on the back! See the picture. I used zip ties to mount it to the bracket below the TV. I'm willing to live with this ugliness, but the two main features don't work, HDMI & Bluetooth.
