For the subwoofer, the subwoofer is designed for playback of bass or low-frequency sound. You can enhance the bass sound of the subwoofer by pressing the subwoofer volume on the remote.
Note:
When the input source does not contain much bass sound, such as in TV programs, the bass sound from the subwoofer may be difficult to hear.

It even has special settings to help enhance the voice. Still ended up having to turn the volume up and down to hear vox clearly. I do have experience setting up TVs, soundbars, and home theatre systems so I even calibrated it as much as possible for my room size, sitting distance, etc. At the end of the day, it is good quality but not for that price. Not at all for that price. I just went back to my TV speakers and honestly the only difference is my lows aren't as boomy because I don't have a woofer. That is the only difference. It is unfortunate because I love Sony products but this one is just no bueno for the price.

We'd love to troubleshoot the problem and make this a better experience for you. In the meantime, please try and set the Voice function to On. This will make dialogues easily heard by enhancing dialogue range. Please press the Voice button on the Sony Remote to enable/disable the Voice function. Make sure as well to check if night mode is off.

Great sound! More Bass!

Combo with Sony TV

The price point 200 off originally price also sold me with the combo deal of tv and soundbar. The soundbar quality is ok. Not the best i ever heard. You do have to fiddle with it depending on what kind of movie, gaming console, or music you are listening to. On the PS5 it sounds super clean with 3d audio. Movies i tend to fiddle with it to get to sound clean. Regular Music sounds awesome on it.

Did not have remote or power adapter

How am I supposed to plug the thing in. Its useless when selling it to me like that. But customer service was very helpful with the refund, so its all good

There is, however, one unexplained problem - PBS News Hour interview segments have volume issues, i.e., sudden bursts of high volume. This only occurs on the apparently taped segments, and only on the PBS NH. This issue might be in their control room, not the sound bar as it doesn't occur on other channels.
